Food and drink.
It only taste good if or when?

i`ll start for me its the following.

Lucozade only taste`s good if im unwell.
Taco/ fajita wraps tast better cold.
Jacket potato taste better homemade, mirocwave ones yuk.
Hot lemon only taste good when ill.

Fish and chips by the sea.
The lemon squash they serve in Poland can not be replicated anywhere

Ouzo is only tolerable in a beachside taverna on a Greek Island overlooking the sea (and even then only barely).

Fizzy drinks (especially Coke/Pepsi) taste better from a post mix machine than from a can/bottle.

Milkybar buttons taste better when I’m eating them in bed (please don’t judge me)

Sausage sandwiches taste better if you’re nursing a hangover

Fish & chips taste better from a chip shop - tripley so from a seaside chippy….. double that again if wrapped in newspaper

Everything tastes better if someone else is cooking it - but especially toast for some reason.

I was going to say Coke too. I've currently got a cold and had a glass of Coke today for the first time in about a year! Has to be cold too as it's so vile warm.

A pint of Guinness tastes better when in Ireland.

Ooh, I disagree on toast! Whenever anyone else makes it they take so long over it it's lukewarm at best by the time I eat it! I have to make it myself and eat it ASAP from the toaster, with lots of butter!

Not only good in this situation - but a cup of hot milky tea when you've been working really, physically hard is just absolutely amazing.

I only want a gin and tonic when I'm out somewhere.

Can't drink coke unless it's really hot and there are ice cubes in the glass.

Coffee in a mug not a cup or takeaway cup.

Fanta is so much nicer on holiday

I know someone who thinks this. I used to mock them, but I read an experiment which showed that taste perception can be affected by shape - I think it was apples tasting sharper when cut in squares vs circles or something.

Chinese takeaway leftovers piled on a plate and microwaved for breakfast is infinitely better than having it freshly delivered at dinnertime.

chocolate digestives in a meeting in the office, with a mug of instant coffee.

Ice cream cone walking next to the sea. Hot pasty on a harbour wall. Lumumba in a mountain cafe.

Protein shakes only taste good when you are really hungry.

Olives..one a glorious sunny day in Spain with a ice cold lager for me.

I don't like lager unless on holiday somewhere warm. Then I will happily drink the local version of Tennents. I'm not a whisky fan except for the tasting at the end of a distillery tour.

Gin and tonic only tastes good when I am with my sister. Other than that it's....ok I guess.

Completely agree. I really dont like any other pasta, Penne is vile imo.

But spaghetti is lush!

A full English breakfast is fabulous in a hotel but I never want one at home.

You can't drink water from a mug. It tastes wrong. Glass or bottle only.

I managed to get out of buying overpriced pic 'n' mix for DC at the cinema today, as thankfully the staff had forgotten to put any bags out. I saw another family staring at the sweets looking puzzled, then walking away.

Anyway, I only drink hot blackcurrant or hot honey and lemon when I have a cold. In fact, I very rarely want to drink any hot drinks unless I'm ill.

Gazpacho tastes best when eaten at a pavement cafe on a warm sunny day in Spain, preferably overlooking a nice town square.

Homemade sponge cake is miles better than anything from a supermarket.
