Neighbours are getting on my nerves already

Had new neighbours in on Friday. They're privately renting and was told by landlord that it was a woman and her son, didn't sound too bad so I thought. Already it's people constantly going there (9am this morning), talking loudly. Now the son has been outside for the last hour bouncing a basketball and throwing it in a bin. I've just had to shut my bathroom window and can still hear it. I'm thinking they've only been there two days and I've had enough already. What would you do?

To add it's so loud I can hear what song it is, I think what a pp said is right....got her feet under the table and the true her is coming out.

You can report unreasonable noise to the council, ours are great they come round that day and have been known to confiscate sound equipment from loud/late parties

If you can hear her sneeze, that doesn't necessarily mean it is loud loud.

It's right next to the wall and it's the vibration. Talk radios been on since 7.00. She must also realise the walls are thin but obviously doesn't care. I can hear it even when I turn my own TV up.

Last post - just been listening to some episode of Star wars blaring out from the TV at top volume by the kid. Even my own teenage son said how loud it was. So I've had enough, I'm putting a note through the door tomorrow morning and if it persists, I'm contacting their letting agent. They're just getting worse and worse by the day and I'm sick of it.

Slamming wardrobe door a few times did the trick for me.

Yeah but you can tell the difference between people just being ignorant and a slam in an angry response.
