Do you have a nice tissue box cover?

I get tissues from Naked Paper but the boxes are so ugly! They are rectangular rather than square, please share your nice tissue box covers with me.

Why would i cover a tissue box?
Is rhis like the knitted dolls to cover the toilet roll jn the 70s?

i make covers for mine with fabric. They're reversible so i have a few seasonal ones...

Because they are ugly. Usually they are plastic, metal or wood and just look nicer than a printed box.

I watched this tutorial a few times. I make mine from quilting cotton, and i use the squishy iron-on squishy interfacing. If you are a quilter cotton batting is good. But you could also use nice stiff interfacing if you didn't want it to be squishy. And if you really wanted you don't need to use anything apart from 2 layers of fabric.

I take mine out of the box and have them in a ceramic pot, looks much nicer imo

I have a square cover with a sea shell on it, a present from an ex. It lives on my bedroom window sill.

I believe tissues in the square boxes are just tissues from a rectangular box folded over, so if you have a nice square cover in mind, you could use that.

Actually I don’t think I’ve ever bought a box of tissues ever, so I never had this conundrum of displaying in a proper manner, so maybe, yes, there might be a world of tissue boxes out there trying to hide from human eyes.

Why..is it something to be ashamed of?

I had to cut down our quilt covers a while ago - we have two sets that i rotate. And i was wondering what to do with the offcuts, and i thought I'd make a cover for my tissue box. I need something to do sometimes and it looked like a fun quick project. I made it reversible so when i change the bed linen, i turn the tissue box cover around. It amuses me.

(I have to have tissues everywhere, awful allergies, even with all the best drugs i am a wheezy, sneezy wreck. My tissue box covers are more tasteful than the two i posted, they belong to one of my DC)

Um, no. It seems weird and old fashioned. Boxes of tissues aren't offensive items.

Lol I work in a museum and we actually do have tissue box covers and toilet roll covers on display!
