Just being nosey!
£152 weekly shop in Tesco
£129 DS’s main birthday present
£25 soft play
Was going to stock up on my skincare (been substituting with cheap stuff for a few months) this evening but feel like I might need to hold that off now.

I think all of these sound quite normal and pop star. I bought athletes foot cream, Ocado and a kfc 🤣 My Ocado did include organic grass fed steak for Sunday supper and Jason’s rolls for lunch boxes, pedestrian.

Today is bills day so total 2k has gone out the joint account but out of my personal account £12 - got some new board markers for work and a pack of chalk (very very excited, cannot wait to teach my next lesson at 4!) and a cup of tea in Tesco cafe.

If the children are well behaved will perhaps get a small treat for them but depends on the report back from their farther.

What do you teach?

nannyl · 31/01/2026 21:38

I was about to say £0, but actually I logged on and paid my car road tax so I guess the proper answer is £195

iusedtobeasize8 · 31/01/2026 21:43

£110 Tesco shop

NoYourNameChanged · 31/01/2026 21:43

It cannot just be me who’s unable to see even one ‘popstar’ spending summary?! 😂

eta also I’m afraid not @BrickBiscuit but I commiserate with the feeling of having nothing to show for that big transfer to good ol’ HMRC!

canuckup · 31/01/2026 21:44

About £10 on dinner from the supermarket

Went to an outdoor centre, admission is free

IwanttoWFH · 31/01/2026 21:53

£80 on a pair of New Balance trainers (took the money from my Vinted balance so, technically, they were free!)

£75 on a chemical peel (had already paid a £25 deposit)

£9 on a pair of leggings

£56 on a food shop

ImpatientlyWaitingForSummer · 31/01/2026 22:01

£5 on a bet on one of the premiership matches and got a £185 win 😀 and £4 on new felt tips pens for my toddler from Amazon

CurlewKate · 31/01/2026 22:06

Well-we went to London, had a posh lunch and went to a show-then came home, detouring to buy some wine. So lots.

whyaretheylikethis · 31/01/2026 22:06

£25.50 on skincare
£36 on a meal out
and couple of quid parking

oops edited to add just spent £10ish in Asda too!

GameOfJones · 31/01/2026 22:06

£28 on a top up shop at Sainsburys.

£7 at Costa.

£16 on a present for DD1's birthday.

£14 to renew my driving license online.

I have made £26 selling a few items on Vinted.... I'm a bit addicted to it! 🤣

828Pax · 31/01/2026 22:07

£110 total
£24 swimming
£70 Aldi shop
£16 Macdonalds

CharlotteStreetW1 · 31/01/2026 14:15

£3 (capped) bus fare for a hospital appointment and I'll spend £3 coming home again. Cheaper than driving once you take parking into account.

I've got a wedding hotel to pay for plus hen weekend accommodation and a weekend away with my "girl crew" all to come out of this month's money so will be reining it in.

... and £56 on a blouse from Seasalt. I was bored 🙄

What do you teach?

Maths tutor, most kids hate having to do maths on the weekend so I feel some nice new markers might soften that blow

£6000 on a trip of a lifetime type holiday!

This. Fabulous idea- enjoyed it a lot. But IMHO the production needs work-it was a bit….raw…I wish I’d gone later in the run.
