Just that. Interested to see if anyone says what I'm thinking...

The Cotswolds. God it was tedious.

Arran2024 · 25/01/2026 19:31

Dundee. Sorry Dundee. I had to spend two weeks there for work. Weather was dire every day which didn't help.

Booboobagins · 25/01/2026 19:32

Wow, I am very shocked by the comments!

Iceland was amazing inc Rekyavik. Norway was breath takingly beautiful. Cornwall is the best place to go to slow things down and destress. What are you all talking about????

The most boring place is anywhere that you have to sit by a pool in the sun cos there's nowhere else to go.

I suppose @NetflixWithoutFriendsIsWrong we all like different things (thankfully) so we find different things boring.

If you want a holiday that has very little boredom, try a cruise. You wake up in a new place everyday. Even sea days are fun!!!

Ah, the lovely aroma of the oil refinery as you drive in …

LlynTegid · 25/01/2026 19:34

Swindon. Worked there for three years.

PS5Gamer · 25/01/2026 19:35

Isle of Man.

A former colleague of mine once had to spend a week in Aberdeen for work. When he got back he said he'd never been anywhere so depressing. The whole place was grey, he said, and when it rained (which was most of the time), dark grey.

We locals call it ‘silver’ as in Silver sit by Golden Sands.

Yes, we do have a sense of humour and yes we are quite optimistic.

But having been brought up there, I feel his pain…

Skybluepinky · 25/01/2026 19:36

Dymchurch

2021x · 25/01/2026 19:36

I have traveled around NZ and honestly Milford Sound is so boring and hugely over touristy. There are so many other places that are so much more beautiful to go to even Queenstown which is tourist central is better.

It’s not known as the Granite City for nothing !

Auckland and Oslo.

Iceland…very underwhelming unfortunately

I could not disagree more! One of the best trips of my life. I loved all of it but Landmannalaugar still visits me in my dreams sometimes. Never been anywhere like it.

derby18 · 25/01/2026 19:39

Lille. DH and I went because we had a Eurostar voucher but tickets to Paris were extortionate. Highlight of our trip was sitting in a restaurant on the square people watching, especially watching people do a funny little dance to dodge a huge dog turd. Says a lot that that was our highlight 😅

Cape Cod. We called it Cape Crud.

Really? The entire cape?

A cruise would bore the pants off me !!

There's no oil refinery in Dundee

Citrusbergamia · 25/01/2026 19:42

Aviemore- if you don't ski it's a bloody awful place

Klaipeda- nothing to do there at all. V boring.

Agree with Launceston too. Cornwall had some truly beautiful places but Launceston, Liskeard and bodmin were all boring.

avalanchecoverssoul · 25/01/2026 19:43

A museum of tanks, and separately, a museum of trams.

I don't bore easily and tried to find something to enjoy but gave up. It truly was as boring af.

ChampagneLassie · 25/01/2026 19:44

@EchoedSilence Suffolck? Really? It’s so lovely? A bit of a hidden gem I feel compared to Sussex. Proper beaches. Lovely little villages with thatches. Great food. I went in so many lovely trips pre-kids

Happyandkoiful · 25/01/2026 19:46

Pembroke on a wet day in February. Just saw that PPs are slating Haverfordwest - oh no, we're staying near there this February half term!! I plan to go round the charity shops when we've had enough of trudging down the freezing cold beaches in the rain.

Kennedy space center, Florida. I felt like I was in a blue Peter studio 🤣. My husband thought it was fantastic 😊

Budapest. Unless you want to get off your tits every night, there’s very little to do.

I found this too. The ruin bars and restaurants were fantastic though
