Katie price - what’s going on ?

Following Katie Price’s engagement posts. She’s just split from JJ slater - now she’s engaged to some Dubai businessmen. At first I thought the posts were AI , but upon further inspection ( see : time wasting ) he is a real person with a Facebook account that has been active for some time, as is his mothers it seems - so he is real.

But , surely this is some kind of publicity stunt ? I have always liked her but it just seems a bit ridiculous at 47 years of age if it is ?

I thought she was bankrupt?

Let's say they are. Does that absolve them of their responsibility for their choice to exploit Katie Price several decades ago?

Or, to put it more generally, does a poor upbringing absolve someone of all responsibility for their continuing poor choices for the rest of their life? Or should it be more that while their propensity to making poor choices is understandable, they nevertheless bear at least some responsibility for the damage their choices cause plus an obligation to try to get help to address those flaws so they will do better in the future?

He stayed out of the lime light for what i saw, and seemed to support her where needed and good to the family from the videos she put up.

Maybe stable and supportive was too boring for katie. She has done him a favour in the long run, easier to move on when you realise people's true colours.

She seems to have some major mental health problems and deluded if she things this will have a happy ending. No one normal minded proposes this quick. How can you know you want to be with someone for life when you havnt experienced what it is like actually being with someone long term. Doubt very much this will end up at the alter. He will use the extra exposure but won't risk his cash on actually getting married to her

Totally agree. The video was very strange. She needs help, not some random 'businessman' - who sounded as camp as anything tbh!

I think she’s made some terrible choices like posting Harvey all over social media all the time and her treatment of her pets over the years is horrendous. Her driving convictions are shocking, she shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel.

On the other hand, she was exploited when young, and has detailed several sexual assaults. She’s had multiple men use her. She’s clearly got a huge body image problem and the latest photos show somebody who is skeletal and unhealthy.

There are obviously MH issue at play, and I hope she gets help for those as I feel she is heading towards a tragic end.

She looks so unwell at the moment, nothing like any of the photos of them together. He is clearly not right in the head to see someone who looks and seems so unwell and is freshly out of a relationship and propose to her. But nothing to do with her is shocking anymore

If she truly is engaged, I promise you I will eat my hat!

Oh, and to the person who mentioned her having been married to a narcissist? It is very clear that it is Katie herself who is the raging narcissist. She cannot utter a single sentence that doesn’t have “I, me, my, mine” in it. Totally self-absorbed.
But yes, I would agree that she has mental health issues.

100% this. I hate how vilified she is. She was way too young and it sounds like it was her childhood over in a flash .
we see every day the impact of fame on children and young people, very few grow up unscathed

It's funny how she is condemned for exploiting her children whereas other fame-hungry celebrities are not for the same.

Like Victoria Beckham for example.

It's almost as if Katie Price is condemned for not being virtuous, but we've moved on from such medieval thinking - haven't we?

There was a repeat last night on c5 of a documentary about this .

As of 2024 she owed £3.6m and has been made bankrupt twice. Mainly due to unpaid legal bills mounting up from her custody battles with Peter André and also alimony payments to cross dressing cage fighter Alex Reid

She's been on so many TV shows with her kids. I can't think of any others that have been in the public eye so much, the Beckhams included.

Sure, the Beckhams haven't exploited their children from infancy at every opportunity (!)

I have no sympathy for her. Her children on the other hand I have lots of sympathy for. All of them although at least the two she had with PA have had a stable upbringing.
She's just done so many irresponsible things and she is a grown adult. It's about time she started acting like it.

Has anyone ever read the interviews with Dwight Yorke about Harvey? If you do you might have a different opinion about if he actually abandoned his son.

I worked with KP in the 90s believe me she was a madam, totally unreliable and a diva then. Nobody, I repeat nobody was forcing her into glamour and the promo Jordan days. She let us down time after time then. Nothing has changed with her flakey false world. Spendaholic. False relationships just for press coin. Lost custody of kids. Harvey exploitation. Pet deaths. Cocaine fuelled accidents. Over the limit in charge driving convictions. Latest engagement will just be for press coin. Do not click on them.

I think she's been made bankrupt a couple of times but she still lives in a huge house, spends most of her time on holiday and persistently injects her face and the rest body with crap. Sadly, people still throw money at her. She's tried singing, acting, developing her own perfume etc and none of them lasted. So now she makes money from only fans and being outrageous which keeps clicks and the TV cameras on her. I'm sure she knows she looks ridiculous but she's so fame and money hungry, she's willing to embarrass herself. Its really quite sad for both her and her family.
