Because in my mind I am still 37, it hasn't occurred to me that actually, this year, there is a load of free shit I can get when I'm 60!

Pls inform me of what I can benefit from. Buses? Trains?

Apparently we get 10% off in Iceland / Food Warehouse, on Tuesdays - need to show proof of age tho.

10% off CoOp on Tuesdays? Railcard (3year best), free prescriptions, eye tests - most “senior discounts” are 65+ but always worth a check - swimming pools, cinemas etc.

Free bus pass for 60 and over in Wales. Various places do reduced entry costs at 60, as do various theatres and exhibitions.
Senior Railcard using your Tesco vouchers gives you a third off train fares, makes a decent reduction.

Slimming World is cheaper for over 60s. Not saying you need it.

I am the same age in August and I feel on times 25!

I am 60 in November this year. As we know and feel, age is just a number. But what can I get? Nothing!

No bus pass, no Fuel allowance, no free private health care, no letter from the King.

I don't think there is anything other than prescriptions and I haven't had one of those in thirty years .

20% off the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry crossing but you have to ring and book it, can't get it online. Lots of places like play farms and soft play give reduced admission should you wish to take small members of the family out.
Yes to the railcard although I've recently found out if you have certain disabilities you can get a disabled card which also gives 1/3 off for a travelling companion too. It's also cheaper than the one for us more advanced in age people.

Well not quite free (soz) but you can buy an annual HRT PPC for a set price (around £19.80).

I’m also 60 this year. I already get free prescriptions but am looking forward to my 60+ card - I am in London. Also, very cheap gym, pool, classes at my local leisure centre. Cheaper cinema tickets. My local garden centre does an over-60s discount too. I already have a disabled travel card for national rail and that’s better value than the senior one.

I've been putting HRT off. I think this might be the year I do it!
