I am going to Waitrose tomorrow. Is there anything you recommend that's different from other supermarkets.
I believe it's quite a large store so hopefully it is well stocked.

We are back from Waitrose and enjoying some of the fruits of our shopping for lunch.

One of the things we got was a kilo of beef fat trimmings from the dry age cabinet for £4. DH has rendered this down for roast potatoes.

The Chocolate Indulgence Cake, £6.50. It is dangerous: have bought two this week! It's got Belgian chocolate ganache, none of that nasty buttercream business.

Their dark-chocolate coated ginger.

A gorgeous individual wrapped shortbread (like the size of a big brownie)
They're kept in the bakery/pastries section and absolutely divine

My Waitrose stopped stocking these earlier this year. They are the best shortbread I've ever had and were my go to treat. I was gutted but assumed they'd been discontinued in all their stores. Obviously not!

Oh. My. Goodness.

You lot are dangerous. I was in store today so I picked up the Welsh honey and stem ginger goats cheese and a packet of cinnamon knots......both are now gone. 🤣

I'm going to have to make another trip back just to get some more!

Oh God. Now I have to look for that.

Not if I see it first...

Just taste tested the crumble
topped mince pies, warmed up, just delicious.

Their plaice fillets from the fish counter on Fish Friday 😋

Head straight to the bakery, their cherry lattice pastries are lovely. Also remember to take a refillable cup with you as you’ll get a free coffee if you sign up with my Waitrose.

If you can contrive to be there before closing, the bakery reductions are worth having.

We have a Waitrose fairly close by but I never think to go! I’ve just made a list and going to pop over this week. I haven’t bought any festive food whatsoever (usually have a good stash by now) so have some bits on my list thanks to this thread.

EstherGreenwood63 · 14/12/2025 14:23

Got the No.1 coffee ice cream enablers. Confirm very good. 🤣

Same I am eating it right now!! I wish I’d bought the dark chocolate and sour cherry one too.

I’ve been compiling my online order for Christmas and realised I forgot to mention my all time favourite coffee and Waitrose is the only supermarket to sell it - Union Yirgacheffe. It’s £7 for 200g so not cheap but really good.
