Farage was whining a while back that it was "undemocratic" that reform had elected MPs but no lords. As if that meant Starmer had to go "How high Nige ?" and ennoble more useless specimens.
That sunk very quickly. I imagine because right now, any discussion of the unelected upper chamber doesn't suit many agendas.

Given the tone of that piece, and the fact that all the reporting around the defection was explicitly centred around Reforms first member of the House of Lords, it's hard not to suspect something has gone terribly wrong here.
Of course the fact remains that we have yet to see any serious Labour defections to Reform. Certainly not in the same number as Tory defections.
