Shame they didn’t unveil it before the Budget.

That implies that the media would print stories about it.

NO sign of it in The Times. Plenty of space to print stories about private schools however.

Farage claims Harborne crypto giant 'wants nothing in return' for his £9million donation. Pull the other one, it's got bells on it.

He already got his return from Farage lobbying and promoting *rypto, attacking the BoE etc.

Harborne has already had something - the same month the donation came in Farage promoted the currency Harbourne is an investor in.
Nobody thinks Harborne is doing it out of the goodness of his heart.

Same as when he bunged Johnson a million and then went to Ukraine. its not a coincidence that Harborne has defence investments.

Also a means to avoid Ofcom scrutiny.

Interesting that the online safety act is powerless against this filth.

Hardly an advert for private pensions.

(Don't worry, we're paying for this).

Just posted as Yet Another Example of the taxpayer subbing up clearly crooked business owners who then disappear from view with no penalty.

Nancy Dunnachie, who has short, grey hair, is wearing a blue knitted jumper and is staring out of a window

'Where did my late husband's pension payments go?'

Workers at Morton's Rolls Limited complained pension payments defaulted before the firm went bust.

Yes, and thanks for the reminder not to use the full word.

We all know about Great British Publics relationship with experts.

Did anyone catch QI ? Apparently flu jabs reduce the chances of a heart attack by 25%, A typically useless fact, but "quite interesting" and worthy of further checking ...

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/langlo/article/PIIS2214-109X(22)00432-6/fulltext

Whitty was talking about something similar yesterday. Not vaccines per se but it explains why the vaccine would reduce the risk.

I think heat waves and cold snaps do the same hence the heat warnings that people like to complain about that really are meant for hospital planning.

An elderly women being led passed an ambulance by a paramedic wearing a green uniform and an apron. He has his arm around the lady's back.

NHS must take elderly infections much more seriously, Chris Whitty warns

England's chief medical officer says doctors do not appreciate risk of heart attack and stroke, as flu cases rise.

Assume that’s a comedy show?

Well it will be funnier than Mrs Brown's Boys that's a certainty.

People moaning about weather warnings which are intended for public authorities/planners REALLY irritates me. Generally they also have the cheek to complain about people not using their common sense.

Liz Truss is going to take on the 'deep state' with a new tv show.

Well, she shouldn't have got us into a deep state to start with.

I've noticed an intersection between men people who need a change of clothes after watching a war documentary about things like Operation Dynamo, or The D-Day landings Operation Overlord (with Sword, Omaha, Juno, Gold and Utah) and people who fume over the naming of storms.

So today Tice said that those that have said that Farage directed comments about gas chambers/sang Hitler Youth songs to Jewish teenagers are liars.

Later, Farage stated that it was normal to use antisemitic slurs because TV stations showed racist, homophobic and antisemitic content.

Therefore the BBC should apologise for their historic content and Emma Barnett is low grade (for asking Tice a question)

SO Farage did say use the slurs but it was just bantz?

I'm not much younger than Farage and dont recall any teenagers I mixed with chanting Hitler songs. Maybe I mixed in the wrong circles.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Sadly 😔

BIossomtoes · 05/12/2025 20:31

Or me. I see the number of testimonials is now up to 28. 😔

PandoraSocks · 05/12/2025 20:39

That is really brave of him to step up. What a nasty little shit Farage was and is.

So more than 52% then ?

I've lost count now of the number of Tories who have deflected to Reform. Still awaiting the collective MSM headlines on this.

Not sure where Brenda from Bristol is now, but it's always good to quote 'Not another one?'

None of the under 30s I know believes that climate change is anything other than a thing that is happening. Being me, I'd like to think it's similar to 1950s teenagers totally accepting rock and roll is here to stay, rather than their parents who believe that it will be :

"(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window" – Lita Roza, Patti Page
"Answer Me" – David Whitfield, Frankie Laine
"Because You're Mine" – Nat King Cole, Mario Lanza (both peaked 1952)
"Broken Wings" – Art and Dotty Todd, The Stargazers
"Dragnet" – Ray Anthony and His Orchestra, Ted Heath & His Music
"Faith Can Move Mountains" – Johnnie Ray & The Four Lads (peaked 1952), Nat King Cole
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" – The Beverley Sisters, Jimmy Boyd
"In a Golden Coach (There's a Heart of Gold)" – Billy Cotton & His Band, Dickie Valentine
"Swedish Rhapsody" – Mantovani, Ray Martin
"Terry's Theme from Limelight" – Frank Chacksfield, Ron Goodwin, Jimmy Young (version known as "Eternally")
