What's your favourite seasonal treat?

Inspired by a box of florentines I picked up in our newly opened Lidl last week.
They were in the Christmas aisle so I assume they're only available for this period.
Need to get another box or three...

Cheese footballs.

Practically all the Christmas sweet treats at Lidl. Picked up the magazine last week and I’ve mentally bought everything

Wensleydale with cranberries. I know it’s available all year round, but it’s very much a Christmas thing here.

Lebkuchen and the Cadbury chocolate Puds - I buy boxes and boxes of them!

Elizabeth Shaw mints, (Quality Street (though I still haven't got over them changing the shiny wrappers 😥), M & S chocolate biscuits and stilton.

Marron Glacé - not the cheapest treat but worth every penny.

Stollen and mince pies. Oh and Wensleydale with cranberries. I know it’s available all year round, but I only eat it around Christmas. Love it!

Baileys. It isn’t allowed in our house until Christmas Eve evening. I am strict about this. It just tastes like pure Christmas to me 🥰

Homemade raspberry trifle (particularly the sneaked spoonfuls straight from the leftovers in the fridge).

A Christmas day sandwich - turkey, stuffing, cucumber and rocket on fresh wholemeal bread with cranberry sauce spread on one side and mayo on the other. With a side portion of cold pigs in blankets and cold roast potatoes.

I look forward to it more than the actual Christmas dinner it originated from. 😅

And home made sausage rolls. I never make them for any other time of year. I could devour hundreds over the festive period.

I always make my own mince pies, always look a real mess but taste exactly how I like them, with no added sugar.

I'm reading through and making a list of things I "need" for Christmas now 😁

All the brie , bacon and cranberry toasties

Puff pastry mince pies (served warm) with some cold brandy butter 👌

Smokes salmon and cream cheese sandwich, I'm OK at home but I have to be careful out as white bread wrecks my blood sugar and Im intolerant to barley which most wholemeal bread contains.
