Are there places women can go to have a break/ be looked after?

I have come to the realization that I need to have a complete and total break from my real life, it will only be possible for a week due to my responsibilities so it needs to be really good and restorative, can anyone suggest anywhere? South West of Uk ideally.
must be comfortable, ‘normal’ type atmosphere so not religious. Single rooms, goid quality ideally vegetation food ( not a health farm). Treatments, peace and quiet, that sort of thing.
Any suggestions?

Pack books and go
up the Scottish highlands. Get a little cottage on a loch some food and wine and switch ur phone off listen to the rain and chill tf out

Yes! This is what I would do - loads cheaper too, and no WiFi? Perfect!

So, was no one else bothered by the slamming doors at Ragdale Hall...? I have seen a couple of reviews mention it online. I appreciate that noise sensitivity varies a lot (I am very sensitive), but surely everyone would find it annoying...

Yesssss. Sorry to hear this. Same here, my friend and I have discussed the same thing, even a short spell in prison I would have considered at one point! 😬😳

I actually think about this regularly. A while in prison so that I could have some time to myself. Maybe learn a new language if somewhere in Asia.

hospital this year was a novelty too. A bed and people checking on me. I couldn’t eat much food because I was too shy to let myself. Being looked after was too unfamiliar.

Ragdale Hall sounds incredible. And so many more upsides than prison and hospital.

Thank you this sounds amazing !

I’ve been here 3 times and would absolutely love to go back. It’s a wonderful place, all the different spa areas and pools, relaxation rooms, grounds to walk in, classes if you want them. The food is lovely and the rooms wonderful.

When I was coming to the end of my marriage I had to take myself to A&E with a suspected ectopic pregnancy. (I should add that at this point I didn’t particularly want to be pregnant by my ex, who’d also fucked off to a Very Important Meeting rather than come with me). I’ve always felt guilty that I had a nice time at the hospital. I was in a lot of physical discomfort, but I was listened to, taken care of and treated with kindness and sympathy.

As a matter of interest, did you raise this at any stage? At their price point, they should have been falling over themselves to rectify this glaring omission. Your Ragdale experience wasn’t good enough imo.

I actually didn’t complain. It was December 2021 when customer service everywhere was still utterly rubbish following Covid lockdowns. I was also stressed to the absolute max with work and life and the world wide pandemic so decided to just enjoy the weekend of lovely treats instead. I’m feeling a bit more resilient so I would definitely complain if this happened to me now!

it is a gorgeous place - but that left a bit of a sour taste!
