Highland toffee bar wham bar or quarterback cheeseburger flavour crisps.

ThePineappleSeahorse · 30/10/2025 19:29

I already answered this elsewhere so you may get a feeling of deja vu but…

Chelsea whoppers though I don’t think that I called them that at the time but they were so good. Also Wham bars, Highland Toffee bars or Irn Bru bars.

And Space Raiders, Transformers or Tangy Toms.

panda42 · 30/10/2025 19:35

Bombay mix!

bumblenbean · 30/10/2025 19:35

Cola cubes! And - going rogue - pineapple cubes.

Does anyone remember push-pops? There was that annoying TV advert ‘don’t push me, push a push-pop!’ God I feel old 🤣

ThePineappleSeahorse · 30/10/2025 19:36

I loved Push Pops especially the blackcurrant version.

Thesteinwaysyouvebeenleadingmeon · 30/10/2025 19:37

We had an ancient kitkat machine that had probably been there since the 60s.

CountryMouse22 · 30/10/2025 19:38

All we had at our school was 1p current buns! Along with the 1/3 pt. milk which was free (i think).

We had one at college, every now and again you got a Kit Kat that had no wafer so pure chocolate! Only place I ever experienced that. I shared a two-finger bar with my friend.
We had a machine that dispensed bright orange powder into a small, waxed-paper cup, then added water. It was the most synthetic-tasting orange squash ever and you were more thirsty after drinking it than before, but it was quite addictive 😂 This was early ‘80s.

ShatParp · 30/10/2025 19:48

Cherryade panda pops and a wham bar. I had these pretty much every day!

Liverlybunchofcoconuts · 30/10/2025 19:51

tomato soup which had a faint undertone of orange squash for the nozzle was not washed between vends. But I loved it

staybyyou · 30/10/2025 19:54

Panda pop and a marble bar. The absolute best.

FionnulaTheCooler · 30/10/2025 19:57

Caramel taz bars from the ice cream van that used to park across the road from the school gates every lunch time at high school. Those chewing gum balls that looked like a golf ball too.

MrsDoylesTeacup · 30/10/2025 19:57

Wheat Cruchies and a Wham bar when they were actually a decent size

BertieBotts · 30/10/2025 19:57

They took our vending machines away due to "health concerns" Grin but I used to love those sweets that were like little versions of fizzy drinks - I got them from the vending machine at the bowling alley long after they went out of stock at every corner shop. They must have had a massive box of them and I was the only one who bought them or something.

BertieBotts · 30/10/2025 19:57

Ooh yes and wheat crunchies. Top tier vending machine snack.

LittleCarrot12 · 30/10/2025 19:59

Meanies, chomp bar and quenchy cup. All
for 50p

fiorentina · 30/10/2025 20:01

Two toffee crisps a day. And I was still skinny!
