Blue tongue pickled onion monster munch and biscuit and raisin Yorkie bar when I was in sixth form. And highland toffee bars from the leisure centre vending machine

Fruit polos, wonka popping bars, spicy niknaks, the ridiculously bright coloured ice pops in summer

Spiral bar which should be brought back! Or salt and vinegar disco's.

We didn't have a tuck shop or vending machine but I did love the corn dogs, iced buns and massive flapjack cookies they made. Shop next door to school sold biscuit boosts and lilt which were my go to choice of snack. No wonder I'm like a wobbly blamonge now.

A hot chocolate for 30p!

Especially when it accepted payment in the form of 20 X 1p coins, and 2 X 5p 😆

We had a hot drink vending machine thing in the cantine - max something? Max pax? Hot cordial.

Ooh I loved a Drifter from the tuck shop, and an awful tea from the horrible brown vending machine in the canteen. Mid 90s at secondary school...

A chip roll, 25p, they were fucking delicious, had real butter in them too 🤰

Ooh. I loved Worcester Sauce wheat crunchies from Morrisons at lunchtime when I wasn't buying a chip butty with curry sauce

We had a box of Golden Delicious apples delivered to my primary school circa 1979 and we would queue up and pay 4p for an apple (that makes me feel like a proper old goat now, but kudos to my headmistress at the time for choosing the healthy option for us) I seem to remember that it was only the girls that bought the apples, but I may be misremembering as we had a lovely girls only yard which was actually an enclosed garden where we went after purchasing said apples to play two-baller.

By high school, I was just scoffing drifters and star bars and glugging cherry coke.

Soup. When we got to year 6 in junior school we went on the front playground and had breaktime access to the foyer. There was a hot drinks vending machine that did hot chocolate, coffee and creamy vegetable soup. I think it was about 10p a cup and I loved that vending machine! It was a Maxpax one like this, possibly a but older.

At the leisure centre canteen after swimming I would always get a cuppa soup or cola from the drinks machine.
The soup was literally a cuppa soup it was powder at the bottom and topped up with hot water and the cola was fizzy water topped with the really sweet syrup.Loved it.
Also would get Rainbow Drops and a frozen Mars bar.Was always starving after swimming.

We only had a tango/pepsi vending machine at college.
at junior school we could take money for ‘puffs’ - cheap crisps. Sometimes they were Burtons piglets.
This was around 1978
At secondary school I think there was a maxpac machine for drinks but I never had it.

Me too; Wheat Crunchies and Nik Naks, plus Snickers. I had a lot of puppy fat before I had my growth spurt...
