Teetotallers, what do you drink?

I don't drink alcohol and haven't for a good 2 years, due to always driving and not much of a social life so just got to the point I don't drink.

BUT I'm fed up of drinking fizzy drinks and fresh juices when I go out. Fevertree do some nice drinks but again most are fizzy. Cocktails are again fizzy or sweet as heck in most bars. Don't really want to do zero alcohol drinks either.

So my question...What do you drink/recommend?

I normally order a flavoured tonic water or just sparkling water. Both fizzy though.

Gymbunny2025 · 24/09/2025 19:23

When I’m out tonic water mainly (agree fever tree is nice). Sometimes a 0% wine which I quite like

AllosaurusMum · 24/09/2025 19:24

I drink soda or lemonade

I have a black currant cordial and still water with ice

YesIDidIt · 24/09/2025 19:24

0% beer, some of them are really good.

BeLimeTiger · 24/09/2025 19:25

Elderflower and soda water in a nice glass, or tonic water. I tried the alcohol free gins but they added nothing to the taste and stupidly expensive

Newsenmum · 24/09/2025 19:25

Water with meal as don’t care about drink but coffee after

Eggybreadwithnuts · 24/09/2025 19:43

Fed up of tonic too. Might try cordial when I go out next see how I get on

Lime and soda or a cup of tea

ShesTheAlbatross · 24/09/2025 19:45

Orange juice and lemonade, 50:50 in a glass

hellotojason · 24/09/2025 19:47

When I'm out generally 0% larger or if they have 0% tanqueray gin or if they have it ginger beer. At home my favourite is belvior ginger cordial with sparkling water.

BobbieTables · 24/09/2025 19:49

Cup of tea. Most bars will make you one.

inamo · 24/09/2025 19:49

Tap water (if I don't have to pay for a bottle of still 😉) ice and lime cordial. Very nice indeed.

GloryFades · 24/09/2025 19:52

J2O or cordial or Appletiser which is more sparkling than fizzy.

There are also a lot of non alcoholic drinks available nowadays like beers or gin, but I mostly don’t drink because I don’t like the taste so I don’t drink these.

TheWonkYes · 24/09/2025 19:54

I drink loads of alcohol free. Beers are pretty good and I've been teetotal so long I'm fine with the wines too. If you want a grown up aperitivo you want Crodino or SanBitter but you won't get it out unless you are in Italy. I find quite a lot of places do decent mocktails.

And all of it is way cheaper than drinking alcohol because I don't binge any of them and don't see why my drinks have to be cheaper than people who do.

OxfordInkling · 24/09/2025 19:56

Ice tea or flavoured tonic water.

NutButterOnToast · 24/09/2025 19:56

Mostly alcohol free beer. There's some good ones now.

Also ginger beer or tonic water sometimes.

Station19 · 24/09/2025 19:57

Iced tea, Diet Coke, lime and soda, San pelligrino.

Standingtree · 24/09/2025 19:59

Apple juice 50 percent and 50 percent fizzy water.Or fizzy water with some lemon.

Vaxtable · 24/09/2025 20:01

Mineral water, still with lots of ice regardless of weather

Judellie · 24/09/2025 20:02

I don't really like anything except water, tea or coffee, so have those. Certainly no fizzy drinks. Sometimes I have cranberry juice but not everywhere sells it. My teens have J20, either apple and mango (not always available) or orange and passionfruit (always available) but I find them too sweet nowadays.

shellyleppard · 24/09/2025 20:04

J2o is really nice and not fizzy....

daisychain01 · 24/09/2025 20:04

Ginger beer

Tomato juice with a dash of Tabasco and a slice of lemon

San Pelegrino

still or sparkling mineral water

Hedjwitch · 24/09/2025 20:10

Guinness zero is very nice.
