Teetotallers, what do you drink?

I don't drink alcohol and haven't for a good 2 years, due to always driving and not much of a social life so just got to the point I don't drink.

BUT I'm fed up of drinking fizzy drinks and fresh juices when I go out. Fevertree do some nice drinks but again most are fizzy. Cocktails are again fizzy or sweet as heck in most bars. Don't really want to do zero alcohol drinks either.

So my question...What do you drink/recommend?

Water, everything else is so sweet

sparkling water or tea. I hate anything sugary & sweet

Is cordial the same as squash?

I like fizzy so I’m no help!
I like elderflower. Especially in the summer with ice in at a bbq! Ginger ale sometimes. Coke sometimes.
If I’m going to friends or want something at home, Tesco do a lovely lemon and mint drink I’m rather partial to, and quite a nice raspberry lemonade. A virgin mojito is also extremely nice.
It helps I’ve got a very sweet tooth!

And I drink a lot of tea.

I ask for a very spicy, no sugar margarita. Delicious

Non alcoholic fruit cider although the default one in pubs is strawberry and lime Kopparburg which is about the only one I don't like

Lime and soda. 0% beer.

If I'm in a bar or pub I have a virgin Mary.

AF lager, Diet Coke, nosecco.

Decent bars will offer "posh" soft drinks like Franklin & Sons, Frobishers, Fentimans or Fever Tree. F&S do a lovely apple & pear, their Rose lemonade is nice. Fentinens cola is nice, it is not fizzy either which is nice. Frobishers do a really nice Orange & Passion Fruit that isn't sickly sweet.

I quote like Old Mout cherries & berries 0% cider as its not as fizzy as Rekordolig ones

Teetotal for over 20 years and things have improved massively in the last few years.

Water with a meal, coffee, tea.
I can't stand fizzy drinks, either, so the choice is even more limited. 😊

Tap water, with ice…I’m a cheap date 🤣

I like an orange & passion fruit J20, Coke, orange juice & lemonade, apple juice/Appletise, lemonade & lime cordial, blackcurrant cordial or an alcohol free Kopparberg. Pear is the nicest; not too sweet but not really cider flavour.

Pretty much. It’s slightly thicker than squash, not a syrup, but not a juice, so you’d need a bit more water to dilute it to the same strength as squash, but it’s not massively different.

DH loves this.

Coca cola or appletiser if I'm feeling fancy. Sometimes mocktails if they have one I like the sound of, I don't like coconut, bits of leaf/fruit in my teeth or really bitter flavours.

Decaf earl grey, water and occasionally, cranberry juice.

I don't drink fizzy either and don't like pretend alcohol. I'm vegetarian and feel the same way about pretend meat.

For a treat and something different from most of the ideas listed, I like a mocktail, my favorite is a Shirley Temple: ginger ale, ( or lemon lime fizzy water) grenadine, and a maraschino cherry.
Sometimes , if I'm feeling reckless, I ask for a splash of orange juice to citrus it up.

I made up my own once: soda water, dash of agnostic bitters, dash of lemonade and a slice of lemon. But it became too much faff to order it! Back to soda water and slice of lemon or lime.

I like a Seabreeze mocktail made from grapefruit and cranberry juice squeeze of lime and ice.Tart and still.

I don’t like anything too sweet so if I’m not drinking I’ll either have sparkling water, lime and soda, or appletiser.

Alcohol free beers generally taste most like alcohol, or alcohol free gin

Diet Coke or still water. Happy with either, sometimes a coffee depending on the venue. It reminds me I don’t really need to drink and I like having a clear head.
