I wore my dressing gown this morning and made my first batch of vegetable soup. It was delicious.
What does Autumn mean for you?

The cat is inside next to me or on me and not sleeping in a flower bed.

OrsolaRosso · 15/09/2025 12:27

It's almost Strictly time 😃

OdeToTheNorthWestWind · 15/09/2025 12:33

We're playing 'should we/shouldn't we' with the central heating timer.
It's definitely a should today😐

Sidebeforeself · 15/09/2025 12:35

Bloody spiders

Meadowfinch · 15/09/2025 12:38

I've made the first two batches of jam, and a bottle of blackberry & apple gin 😊

TokyoSushi · 15/09/2025 12:39

I keep checking Hive to see how close the temperature in the house is to where the heating comes on!

Inkytreasure · 15/09/2025 12:40

Getting my cozy throws out and the big throw on our bed.

More roast dinners and casseroles.

Crunching acorns under my feet whilst I walk my over the fields dog, for some reason I love doing this.

Wearing socks for the first time in months.

Bloody spiders

Yes 😂 it’s the first clue !

shellyleppard · 15/09/2025 12:42

The slow cooker is out of hibernation and i put the the central heating on yesterday.....

RaraRachael · 15/09/2025 12:42

I am wearing socks and a hoodie indoors.

AlexandraJJ · 15/09/2025 12:43

It’s cold, especially between 5-6am, almost smell winter looming

Silverbirchleaf · 15/09/2025 12:44

Dressing gown for me also.

onwardandupwards · 15/09/2025 12:44

My dd wore tights with her school uniform and the slow cooker is back on the kitchen side, and we leave 15 mins earlier for school so they can collect conkers!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/09/2025 12:47

I wore a warm winter coat for the first time yesterday, for a walk in the park. It was honestly like November, dark cloud*, very windy, certainly chilly.

The rain held off for me - it waited until dh went a bit later!

This in outer SW London.

Indoors I’m wearing a warm jumper with a padded gilet on top, and my sheepskin house boots!

smallsilvercloud · 15/09/2025 12:48

Cats wanting to snuggle up to me, to keep warm. A colder feel to the air when I wake up, no heating on yet though.

squashyhat · 15/09/2025 13:03

We have had our annual log delivery and I made casserole with dumplings for dinner last night.

InMyOpenOnion · 15/09/2025 13:07

I took my toenail polish off and didn't renew it as I won't be wearing sandals now. Had to put on my thicker dressing gown for the first time last night. Put the garden parasol away in the shed.

LizzieLogan · 15/09/2025 13:08

I opened the car door this morning and the wind nearly took it off.

Bonjovispyjamas · 15/09/2025 13:10

A conker fell on my head on the way to school.

whirlyhead · 15/09/2025 13:11

The roads are quieter as most of the tourists have gone home!

Coldnightsapproachingwhereismyduvet · 15/09/2025 13:13

Pumpkins are nearly ready...

It’s definitely Autumn because
MsSmartShoes · 15/09/2025 13:13

I’ve put my boots on as it’s too wet for trainers.

AnnPerkins · 15/09/2025 13:14

Having to wash the dog's feet after every walk 🙄I love walking in the fallen leaves on a misty autumn morning and don't mind a bit of wind and rain but I hate that we can't just walk straight into the house when we get back. Maybe I should invest in wellies for the dog.

Autumnmornigs · 15/09/2025 13:17

The winter Zoflora is calling me and a trip to the shops for some pumpkin spiced wax melts 🍁🍁

BadActingParsley · 15/09/2025 13:21

Put the heavier (not heaviest) duvet on when I changed the bed, the electric blanket went back on last week, the dog towels are on full rotation, and the woodburner has been on Sat and Sunday night. And I'm contemplating buying some shin of beef to make a stew.
