What's for Dinner Tonight?

Dunno about anybody else, but life seems pretty heavy going at the moment, any which where you look!

So, in the spirit of something that's often nice to think about, innocuous and interesting (well, it is to me, anyways!), what's on your menu for tonight?

Ours is homemade hamburgers and sweet potato fries, since DH and the girls are going out to see Superman tonight.

Coronation chicken

Honey coated beef, rice and veg. Nothing overly exciting but quick and easy

Flat iron steak and garlic baby potatoes with a green medley on the side.

We got an M&S dine in meal. :)
Lazy but it's been a really busy week, so we're looking forward to it.

Couldn’t be arsed to cook so picked up a rotisserie chicken, some salads and crusty rolls.

Doing a lasagne

I’m thinking Chinese take away but I just want special chow mein and chicken balls. Have been in hospital for weeks and the food is awful. Yes, I know they have shit budgets etc but something needs to change. I don’t see much nutritional benefit in what they are serving.

Rack of lamb on the barbecue, with new potatoes and salad.

On my own, so it's whatever I can throw together with minimal cooking and washing up

Might be a cheese fritatta, (or a crustless quiche to the Mrs. Bouquets among us 😊). I have a tin of jersey spuds so I might make a Spanish Tortilla the easy way.

Or I might just have a tuna melt sandwich!

Hummus and falafel on rice cakes.
Ive had the same thing for tea for about 3 months now, I really need to branch out!😊

Roast salmon with Jersey Royals, tenderstem broccoli and maybe some parsley sauce.

Meatballs in a jar of tomato sauce with spaghetti. Eating down the freezer and cupboards.

A friend came round this morning to strim our wilderness of weeds and grasses - he's gone to the pub with DH (who can't do the strimming due to having a vertebra issue that he's waiting to have surgery on) now. I'm roasting pork, to be served with sage & onion stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots and garlicky courgettes, plus gravy, as a way of saying thank you to him, and as a nod to my Dad (RIP) who would have been 98 today. Not bothering with pudding as we'll probably be too full to appreciate it!

Appalling grammar above - I blame the cheeky glass or two of red wine I've had whilst cooking :)

Chicago Town cheese stuffed crust pizza. I can not be arsed to cook tonight. I will throw together a salad though 😉

Halloumi. Plan currently is with some Mediterranean grain pouch thing and salad but may end up just in a wrap.

On holiday (UK) so off out later for posh fish and chips at a restaurant overlooking the sea. Very excited.

Just me and DH tonight so got some fancy mushrooms and sourdough to do mushrooms on toast 🤤

Probably pasta with bacon and tomato sauce with salad. It’s slim pickings here as I’m skint until next Friday. I have a full freezer though, so I might do something different. I really need to plan meals for the next few days.

Prawn curry - a local place does the prawns already in the curry paste so a very easy Saturday night option. And a glass of wine!

I might do some homemade wedges with lots of paprika

Slow roast turkey with Mediterranean veg & brown rice, followed by fresh pineapple and creme fraiche

Smoked mackerel kedgeree tonight!
