If only they had just smiled.

Daygloboo · 18/07/2025 02:22

Sorry. What's this about. I can't find it. Just a picture of two people looking a bit weird. Chris Martin called them out ? How did Chris Martin know anything about a strange couple. Can someone enlighten me. It sounds a bit bonkers. .

They've fine about the affair but mortified to be outed as Coldplay fans.

@mumsnet this is why we need a laughing emoji

They were scanning the crowd with cameras & saw what they thought was an older couple hugging on one of the balcony's so when they did a close up & allowed to the band to "speak to them" over the microphone only for them them to panick/spin around/drop to the ground it was originally joked about being an "affair"

People began searching the internet for them & sure enough the man with his arms around the girls chest is both her boss & also a married man so widely presumed to be an affair after all

It's a video, not a picture, the picture is just a screenshot. He drops down and hides behind the seats, she turns her back, they both look horrified. There is no doubt of any kind that they're both cheating cunts, and that's before you add in his super entitled statement where he tries to blame Coldplay for him getting caught.

Edited

Although apparently the statement was not actually issued by him, so scrap that last bit. Anyway, so pleased this happened to these shitheads, so sorry for their poor families.

And her husband. Both of them are married - for now …

The NY Post is reporting that the woman, Kristin Cabot, divorced her husband in 2022.

I know I'll get roasted for this but it's always the Head of HR and the MD or other senior male exec.

It's never the female Head of Finance or IT or Compliance....always HR from the affairs I've come across in my corporate career.

This made me laugh.. Not wrong!

BelindaCardAisle · 18/07/2025 06:51

I'm sure this will be old news by Monday. They are awful, she'll probably have to leave the company, he'll likely carry on as normal and his wife probably won't even leave him (if as per PP, he's known for having affairs).

GrooveArmada · 18/07/2025 07:30

99bottlesofkombucha · 18/07/2025 01:12

Senior HR person is responsible for managing the corporate reputation, but the only person more responsible for it is… the CEO. Who is also the senior person in the affair and by all corporate standards the one
who should take the blame there too. He is more culpable by a long way here on all fronts and I hope the board are crystal clear on that. Culture comes from the top.

No, I disagree. She is a senior officer with direct responsibility for managing staff's behaviour and with the authority to remove them if required. The CEO's primary job is to run the business well. She has a far more specific responsibility in HR and employment and she is hopeless at it if this is her behaviour at this level of seniority - she has absolutely zero credibility and deserves professional consequences.

You're not wrong. IME also to do with the fact women rarely hold other senior board roles, HR still tends to be the only one with more female presence.

FestivusMiracle · 18/07/2025 07:41

Cucy · 17/07/2025 22:10

Oh I thought he owned the business.

If not then yes definitely, I hope they both get sacked and both of their partners leave them and take half of all their money and assets.

It’s disrespectful to cheat but to be so open and brazen about it is vile.

You seriously think they should lose their jobs because of this? My mind is boggling.

Yep. Non p&l roles.

NortieTortie · 18/07/2025 07:43

God I just keep thinking how awful for his wife and her husband to wake up to that

Loopylooni · 18/07/2025 07:56

I just read she's divorced. He's still married!

He could lose his job for this. The CEO of McDonalds lost his job for the same thing as it went against company policy

I absolutely do.

it speaks to a level of toxicity and impropriety that is no longer appropriate in the corporate world.

This sort of behavior severely damages trust within an organisation and the fact that he is entirely responsible for making decisions around her compensation, promotion and opportunities, whilst she is in a position to influence those of virtually everyone else in the company who s going to make it extremely difficult to argue that their relationship didn’t have a negative impact on the trajectory of others in the organisation.

even the perception that it did is enough to make both their positions untenable.

Spinachpastapicker · 18/07/2025 08:49

CJFJ1 · 17/07/2025 22:15

Yes - the clause "what should have been a private moment" is so very, very wrong on his part. He's essentially saying he's only sorry that he's been caught out.

Exactly. Expecting privacy at a huge concert with everyone having phones etc? Twat!!!

DancingNotDrowning · 18/07/2025 08:58

Bringing the company name into disrepute is often a sackable offence.

I just feel they should just end their relationships and date each other properly.
