Sally Abé would be great also. - I really liked her on Great British Menu definitely personable and held her own with humour, grace and precision in a though competition with some definite ' alpha male ' type chefs .. And won a course in the banquet! She was well known for starting a restaurant with all female chefs .. ( has moved onto a new place now.)

I’d like it to go old school, back to cooking a three course meal and competing like in the good old days. It was a much better competition to my mind. Monica would be a good judge but you need a critic really to be the central presenter.

I remember when they announced they were bringing back master chef, I was excited for three course menus, blue corners and bringing in one piece of kitchen equipment. It was one of my favourite tv shows as a child and the “new” format is nothing like the original to the point I always wondered why they recycled the name.
