Drinking the milk of another species. Driving. (I do both)

The practice of abortions has been known since ancient times. The difference between now and then is that prior to safe, legal abortions, women died or became infertile following illegal abortions.

Totally agree. But fewer women died than the 300,00 developing babies who were killed last year in the UK.

Party buffet food. Saves putting fingers on the plate.

How society generally leaves elderly people to struggle.

Abortion. Killing a human, developing baby, no matter what terminology you use, is now normal. Accidents happen - but one's deliberate action in having sex (and I do know that there is rape) shouldn't result in the killing of a vulnerable human being - no matter how small. Sex may result in getting pregnant. And if a woman does get pregnant, adoption is the answer. My husband was adopted (and so was his sister) and brought huge joy to his parents - and some much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Yeah because it’s much better for a woman’s state of mind to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term and then have them adopted which could cause trauma to that said child later in life. Then have the panic that in 18 years that child could rock up to your door than abort a clump of cells.

In my case I was 8 weeks pregnant when I found out my ex had been cheating on me with at least 2 different women. Up until that point I thought I was in a happy loving relationship so there was no way in hell I was having a child with him nor did I want to bring a child into single parent family from birth.

It was the one of the best decision I have made in my life. The day I walked away from that house was the last day I ever saw him. If I had to see him every weekend for pick up I would have been in jail by now.

The fact you judge women for having a medical procedure is disgraceful and you need to have a long hard look at yourself.

Wasting your life away by partying in your twenties, harming your body with damaging substances and having multiple situationships that amount to nothing until suddenly one day you look in the mirror and you're 40, single, alone in a house full of cats or dogs and oh, nearing infertile. And then you wonder how you got there, well society made it seem like you were doing the right thing by just “enjoying your life”, a dream concocted by societal pressure and constructs that was sold and sadly consumed by a lot of people.

Yawn

Those 300,000 babies probably wouldn't have been put up for adoption. They will have been born into difficult circumstances and possibly resented by their mother. A lot of them might have ended up in care.

House prices - absolutely ridiculous these days. Buying anything else, theres a price and first to pay that price gets it. But houses go well over their worth in a weird silent auction thing.

Doodles - why people pay thousands for a mongral thats been unethically bred is beyond me.

Crocs and Uggs - yuk.

WhineAndWine1 · 10/07/2025 20:07

@GlamgenzmamiHonestly what is wrong with women like you?

WTAF! What a judgemental load of bollocks. Loads of people party in their twenties, take recreational drugs and have a lot of sexual partners and still settle down in time to have a family, or just happily go it alone as a single parent.

Your sound like a puritan. Do you hate young people having fun?

Goes nice with pickled onion and chipolata at a buffet. As my jumper says normal people scare me

Sooooo many things in UK culture passed off as "normal" and definitely mentioned: tattoos and fillers. Not "anti" either but it is so common.

Maybe already mentioned:
People buying from Shein and Temu because it is a bargain (but ignore the human cost of forced labour and child labour.

To ignore the damage to our planet of all that (Shein/Temu) crap produced (and breaks and discarded), shipped globally and is, in many cases, hazardous (chemicals).

Borrowing at least 1/4 of a MILLION pounds for a very small home most places in the UK

Putting your bin out for collection without thinking where the hell are they going to put all this non recyclable rubbish

Using steroids on animals, eg chickens, to increase growth rate and eat that animal

To typically spend 37 hours a week in work

To be expected to sit all day in an office job

To be expected to use online banking/shopping/everything and, despite cyber attacks, we are increasingly coralled by "authorities"

Fake teeth, boobs/cosmetic surgery, lashes, brows, tan hair extensions, piercings (I have pierced ears but it is a weird normal), lips, liposuction, gastroband etc People who have had the work on their face look like Jim Carey in The Mask (but not green-skinned)

To smoke/vape/alcohol

I am not saying people shouldn't make their own choices but all the above (and loads more but I am boring myself now 😂) are perceived as "normal" but are unnatural = weird

@WhineAndWine1
I'm so sorry that your ex cheated on you. That's absolutely appalling and must have been traumatising when you realised that he'd cheated on you when you were particularly vulnerable. But should his disgraceful action result in the death of another vulnerable person? It's done now, and understandable because your head must have been all over the place. Again - I'm so sorry.
But would like to add a question...how often does adoption result in trauma for the child? I've known a few adopted children - none of whom are traumatised by it. My husband and his sister had a wonderful upbringing by their adoptive parents. They were loved and cherished by two wonderful people who were so grateful to have the children they couldn't have naturally. Of course, that isn't always the case. But even naturally conceived children aren't always loved by their biological parents.

That's why, @thepariscrimefiles ,people really need to take contraception seriously. Most of those 300,000 abortions weren't because of rape or incest, were they?

'The death of another vulnerable person'? Really? What a load of guilt tripping nonsense.
