CD player and CD purchased. No. 1 album from her birth year seemed the best choice, particularly as it's such a good one.

I've managed to dig out my own Alanis CD, so I'll let her use that for a bit.

Wouldn’t it be better to ask her if there’s any albums she wants? Music taste is so varied and personal. If someone got me an oasis or abba album I’d never listen to them. Even if they are considered iconic.
