What food or drink do you consume an inordinate amount of?

For me, its spinach. I eat it raw with every meal. I can easily get through 1kg a week by myself 😮

For DP, its tinned fish. He has it every day for lunch. He treats himself to fancy ones which is currently costing us about £150 a month 😮

What about you?

Do you have to have a velvitzer for the flakes to work?

Yes otherwise it's just not the same. Aldi do something similar to the velvetiser I hear.

Diet Coke and salt and vinegar Pringles. And chocolate.

Exactly me but with Coke Zero instead 🤣

I can't remember who recommended it but I've just had a 4-pack of Sea Sisters tinned fish show up today. They look great, the flavours sound absolutely amazing.

I'd bought them really for DP but fuck that, we'll have them for tea with some lovely crusty bread one evening!

Thank you so much!

Definitely not. I bought a little whisk and use that whether I'm making hot chocolate or an iced one.

pushthebuttonnn · 28/06/2025 07:02

Omg whenever I go to M&S (which isn't that often thankfully as it's quite far) I get a few packs of the blondie smores fudge and gobble it. Best thing ever 🤤

HevenlyMeS · 28/06/2025 14:54

Oh my goodness sounds absolutely Sumptuous
Never heard of this before but I'm most surely going seeking blondie smores fudge next time I'm in Marks&Spencers
Thank you immensely for your enlightenments

I’ve just chucked two bags or fudge into my Ocado basket. Easily influenced!

WindySkiesAtNight · 28/06/2025 18:48

I was spending a stupid amount on Yeo Valley extra thick yoghurt...now just make my own and save about £15 a month I reckon.

Can't get enough strawberries at the moment for some reason.

HevenlyMeS · 28/06/2025 22:02

Immensely understandable 💚😂
I'd be the same
Hope you thoroughly enjoy

Aw I hope you enjoy it!! My husband steals it when he gets the chance 😁 He doesn't have the sweetest tooth but even he loves it!

I have had binge eating problems. I also get fixations on particular things.

This has led to me having a personal ban on eating penguin bars as I cannot stop until they are gone. Genuinely. My record was 36 in under half an hour (also what caused the ban...).

DryDay · 28/06/2025 22:09

Greek yoghurt. We get through kilos of the stuff. Have it for breakfast with berries and mixed seeds. Blob it on curries and tagines etc. Have it for pudding with a sliced banana, raisins and honey.

Sweets! 😕

Same.

I now have a 3yo who is fiendishly capitalising on my love for sweets by saying “mummy! Here’s those sweeties you like!” Assuming if I buy them I’ll share. He’s right. Busted.

Among others its Nuri sardines and Diplomat herring in teriyaki sauce.

I'll take a look at Rio Mare.

He's obsessed with Tinned Fish Market: The Tinned Fish Market - Online Tinned Seafood Delivery Company

There's an article about tinned fish in this week's Waitrose magazine, it's becoming very trendy. 😁

HevenlyMeS · 28/06/2025 22:36

We thoroughly enjoy Greek yoghurt too
Feel so much healthier when it's consumed
I add flaxseeds & (Brazil nuts for selenium) because I've an under active thyroid
Also add prunes for refreshing healthy sweetness & sometimes some organic coconut sugar 💚🤗💚

Manchesteruser · 28/06/2025 22:45

Strawberries, walnut, pecans and Greek yoghurt. I eat at least 10 strawberries a day, I would have more if they weren't so expensive.

Manchesteruser · 28/06/2025 22:48

Pecans are also very expensive but I'm addicted to them!

I’m pregnant so at the minute it’s tomatoes, (can easily eat a punnet or two a day) pickles, and tins of 7up (fridge cold over ice.)

These things must be available to me at all times 😏

mindingmyown37 · 28/06/2025 22:56

I have one can of cherry Coke every day, (unless I get a meal deal then it’s a bottle) I don’t drink hot drinks, so it gives me the little push of caffeine to get through the day. When I don’t drink it I actually get a headache. I used to be a sucker for crisps years ago, could polish off a lot… not really fussed if I have some or not nowadays.

I had a craving of tomatoes, particularly cherry tomatoes with both my kids 😊 DP must have spent a fortune back then especially with dd as it was the sainsburys taste the difference ones that cost like £2.75 per pack 🤭

😂 isn’t it funny how you get attached to specific ones?? Mine have to be the Tesco plum tomatoes I find them very delicious at the minute and luckily are only about 90p a pack! I eat them straight from the punnet, or chop them in half with a sprinkle of sea salt, sometimes I’ll shred some nice mozzarella over them and eat a whole punnet that way with a baguette 🤤

HevenlyMeS · 28/06/2025 23:34

Lovely healthy nourishment to consume 🙌
