What food or drink do you consume an inordinate amount of?

For me, its spinach. I eat it raw with every meal. I can easily get through 1kg a week by myself 😮

For DP, its tinned fish. He has it every day for lunch. He treats himself to fancy ones which is currently costing us about £150 a month 😮

What about you?

Vimto, at least 3 litres a day. I don't like water, so this is a compromise.

Swhit31 · 26/06/2025 17:02

Olives. Green olives 🫒 😋 😍

We’re big fans of Vimto in this house, and I can recommend the Lidl version (Mixto).

I don't consume an inordinate amount of anything, but I have to have bread everyday. I'm bloody miserable without itGrin

Motheroffive999 · 26/06/2025 17:16

Tea , chocolate , cake , lentils , peaches, rice pudding .

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 26/06/2025 17:24

Coke and Subway sandwiches

There are things I have daily, but that doesn’t seem excessive to me. Multiple times a day I’d say is!

but daily: eggs and Coke Zero without fail.

I also like a square or two of dark chocolate but that’s not always daily. And I enjoy a coffee once a day too (a proper one, not instant).

Aubergines! I spend £30-£40 a month on aubergines and my lunches are pretty much a rotation of Indian style aubergines mish mashes, Thai aubergine green curry, Chinese salt and pepper aubergine, or Italian style bakes with tomatoes and mozzarellas.

Yum, I absolutely love them. I put them in lasagne & pasta bakes 😋

Hot Chocolate. I like good quality brands so spend waaaay too much on it.

Ooh which ones? I get hotel chocolat sachets. Wish they did more pouches.

I love Whittards (especially the gingerbread one they do at Christmas) but my current favourite is Knoops. I spend a fortune on their flakes. At the moment I'm making my own iced Knoops drink.

FurForksSake · 26/06/2025 21:49

Do you have to have a velvitzer for the flakes to work?

ilovepixie · 26/06/2025 21:51

Diet Coke and salt and vinegar Pringles. And chocolate.

Completely concur with you
I've always loved fruit squash, throughout adult years, as well's our Childhoods-I've just forgotten about it recent times but must purchase again
Really find the sugar free varieties immensely refreshing
Thanks very much for your reminders

I've had a hot chocolate from Knoops - unbelievably good. I had it in the shop/cafe in Richmond. I darent start buying it to have at home.
