None, I’d say. Plenty of the names used today would have been anathema in the past.

I can’t see Doris coming back because it would already have done, along with all the other old lady names.

@JustAnInchident I think he was a journalist. I've just looked and several sites say it's of Scottish origin and some French. At the time I was looking for an unusual name it was listed as Irish in the baby name book! I'll have to look up Malise Gordon. Thanks 👍

My daughters name is mentioned her as awful and old fashioned, but i love it.
I love Hester though, it’s a beautiful name.

I would have thought Mildred , but then we heard a Dad calling his little girl Mildred just a few weeks ago , so who knows what will come round again.

I know a Maudie. I think it’s lovely. I wanted to call it Dd, but Dh wouldn’t let me.

They all come round again. My first classes as a young teacher were fully of Gary's, Darren's and Craig's. I could never imagine that Florence ,Edith ,and Hilda would return . They were the names of my elderly relatives at that time. But they are all popular again now.

We have a 10 month old great-nephew called Percy😁❤️
