Oh forgot a Montana chocolate biscuit bar also!

Branigans roast beef and mustard crisps.

I loved them ❤️❤️❤️

Very strong flavour, so quite niche

I loved the ham and pickle

scotchbonnetface · 13/06/2025 22:02

The sour cream dip that Pringles did. It was absolutely gorgeous and I think about it all the time.

Oh and Marble bars

Denimrules · 13/06/2025 22:03

Sainsburys gravy powder. A ton better than Bisto. I now make gravy with a stock, splash of wine etc. But their trad gravy powder was the best

NancyBellaDonna · 13/06/2025 22:04

Gooseberries
Tinned, fresh, frozen: can’t get them anywhere.
Tesco and supermarket gooseberry fool is just not the same.

Itallcomesdowntothis · 13/06/2025 22:04

Waitrose caramel chocolate torte. Heaven. And shamrock shakes. May be showing my age here.

Were those the ones where it started with the sauce on the top and once it was cooked the sauce was on the bottom? They were good.

That was them! Gorgeous bloody things.

When Waitrose had bakery counters, they used to do individual lemon fondant fancies that I had finally forgotten about but now you’ve set me off again.😆

Birds Eye’s Chocolate Lovely is my normal answer to this question (you need to be old😉) - although a relatively recent one that still offends is M&S discontinuing their ‘Best Ever Quiche’, which was fabulous and the only shop bought quiche that was fit to serve people.

Our Waitrose has a bakery counter but I've not seen the individual fondants. Lovely were one of my childhood favourites, I remember the advert with Wendy Craig.

Crunchymum · 13/06/2025 20:30

M&S for both of mine.

Chicken escalopes. They were delightful.

More recently Bang Bang dip.

Non food wise it was a deodorant from approx 20 years ago. Vaseline cotton fresh.

Yes! The bang bang dip was brilliant. Why did they get rid of it? The bang bang noodle salad still appears to be going strong so it can't be that the public suddenly took a dislike to bang bang flavours.

lazyarse123 · 13/06/2025 22:09

You can sometimes get plain Bounty in cheap shops.
Dh natters on about Vesta Chicken Supreme. He thinks because you can occasionally find the curry one that I'm lying about the chicken being discontinued. The last time we walked round and round Asda because he was convinced it was there because "they used to sell it". I googled it eventually and showed him. Idiot.
I miss Aztec bars.

Phileas Fogg Mignon Morceaux. Best snack EVER.

Oh my word these were amazing! Thanks for the memory!

Kurokurosuke · 13/06/2025 22:11

Spira and Robinsons High Juice

Perfectlystill · 13/06/2025 22:17

Minty Eggs, Bitza Pizza crisps, cheese & tomato Pot Noodles, choc chip Tracker bars

Turquoisa80 · 13/06/2025 22:18

Beanfeast..it was a dry soya mince and I'd make it like a Bolognese. Nothing similar has come close to how good that tasted

Boozysoozy1 · 13/06/2025 22:18

MammaDia · 13/06/2025 19:01

M and S chocolate covered toffee popcorn.

Maxibons. Tesco did a version and suddenly stopped this summer.

Mignon Morceaux. I can still taste these!

Marreti roast garlic bruschetta bites are the closest I’ve found to mignons- not perfect but taste similar and are in my newsagents!

SherbertLemons · 13/06/2025 22:20

Tuti Fruti ice cream by Gino Ginelli (I can still hear the advert!)

Carrotsurprise · 13/06/2025 22:20

Sensations Lamb and Mint crisps. They did a limited edition "coronation" version for Charles' coronation and they were identical to the old ones! I bought the entire box that they had at my corner shop and made them last as best I could.

Carrotsurprise · 13/06/2025 22:21

Another one - Asda cream cheese with pineapple.

LindorDoubleChoc · 13/06/2025 22:21

Marco Pierre White Mumbai Madness soup.

Gypsy creme biscuits.

Fruit squash without aspartame.

Rokuandice · 13/06/2025 22:22

i used to love Birds Eye Fritters - first thing I thought of when I seen this post - I still occasionally crave them 😋

I could fill a whole thread!

Most recently it’s Asda’s blackcurrant infusion. It was so perfect and blackcurranty. No shitty blueberry. No liquorice. Just blackcurrant. I’m so sad that it’s gone.

my most favourite bread in the world was Ukrainian Rye Bread from Kolos Bakery in Bradford. They closed down a few years ago and I didn’t know. I’m still not over it.

Longer ago, frozen creamed spinach. It was a big frozen block. Delicious.

but the ones I miss more than anything are the tea and the bread. I’m genuinely sad I’ll never have them again.

@TragicMuse
this kind of spinach?

Hot crunch pudding! Chocolate, lemon or banana flavour, there was a sachet you'd mix with boiling water to make a flavoured custard and then crunchy topping to sprinkle on top! Childhood highlight that was!

Me too.
You need to try this substitute.. mix up the lemon sachet and sprinkle crushed digestive biscuits on top.
The closest thing yet.

Puffalicious · 13/06/2025 22:44

Has anyone mentioned Texan bars yet? Food of the Gods.

Quatro fizzy juice.

I basically want to live back in the 80s. 😔
