I’m in Bristol and honestly see them everywhere!!

I'm in Bristol. Where? I miss them

Solasum · 13/06/2025 21:02

Chocolate pudding in a tin. Mmmm. I searched for them in Covid and mourned their absence.

Cool bitz

Coffeeishot · 13/06/2025 21:05

I remember feeding my Dd chocolate pudding baby food in the 90s i bet nobody feeds their dd that now.

In the 70s you could buy a boxed pudding called ‘Saucy Sponge’ which came in different flavours and you just added an egg, they were the best puddings and I still remember them fondly

Were those the ones where it started with the sauce on the top and once it was cooked the sauce was on the bottom? They were good.

clarepetal · 13/06/2025 21:11

30 years ago I used to eat a pasta thing from a packet that you added water and maybe milk. I can't remember. It was called 'romana' and it was the tastiest thing ever.

MonGrainDeSel · 13/06/2025 21:17

Caramac, Fry's Five Centres, and the cauliflower and potato curried salad that M&S used to do until a year or two ago.

Neveranynamesleft · 13/06/2025 21:18

Frys five centres, the creme bar with a different flavour in each section. Yum.

Coffeeishot · 13/06/2025 21:20

Oh man Five Centers ! You can get all the other frys chocolate just not five centres.

Mummapenguin20 · 13/06/2025 21:27

Cream cheese nick naks

EscapeToSuffolk · 13/06/2025 21:29

Atkins chocolate decadence bar. They spent twenty years perfecting it and then discontinued it. Those Grenade carb killer things are like Atkins bars were when they first appeared about 23 years ago.

EscapeToSuffolk · 13/06/2025 21:32

And cheese snaps. Quavers are so rubbish.

Undergroundovergroundwomblingfree · 13/06/2025 21:34

Spangles
Pacers
Spiro Bar
Cream eggs like in the 80's, they are rank now
Breakfast rashers from Sainsbury's
Spiced apple and camomile tea from twinings.

ilovesooty · 13/06/2025 21:36

I loved those breakfast rashers from Sainsburys.

Grizelofthechaletschool · 13/06/2025 21:36

About 15 years ago the bakery in Sainsbury’s used to do these amazing flapjacks half covered in chocolate. 70p. Terrific

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 13/06/2025 21:40

Potato triangles. I feel like I could cope with my husband cheating on me and leaving me if only I still had potato triangles 😬

SueSuddio · 13/06/2025 21:42

Marble chocolate bar - I used to buy two at a time.
That banana ricicle-like breakfast cereal that turned the milk yellow - from the 90s.

On the other hand I'm glad I haven't seen a tin of sandwich spread for years. It was like spreading sick! Yuk, I mean why?

Pizza Expressed stopped making the Venezianna pizza, the bastards!

Mighty White bread

Dominos used to offer a sun dried tomato sauce instead of the standard tomato sauce on the pizza base.

Mushroom Feast frozen breaded mushoom filled loveliness

Thayer’s vanilla ice cream

Lidl Special K dupe (they’ve added sugar, and it’s horrible now).

Phileas Fog Californian Corn Chips

Linda McCartney’s Ploughman’s Pie

Dolmio traditional pasta Sauce

I don’t know if Mackies have stopped making crisps, but I can’t find them here in Kent.

Quatro, but I fear it was the cause of mu numerous fillings in the 80s!

I’m sure Pizza Ex have literally just announced the return of this pizza !

murasaki · 13/06/2025 21:43

Dark chocolate hobnobs. They kept me going as a student.

Beautifulspringsunshine · 13/06/2025 21:47

Wilfrida1 · 13/06/2025 20:16

You can still get dark chocolate Bounty, I don’t understand?

They were discontinued in the uk about 3 years ago but still available in some other countries so you can occasionally find them in the likes of b&m.

Mydogiscuter · 13/06/2025 21:50

Anyone remember when Walkers did single packets of paprika flavour poppadoms.?

TheActualDuck · 13/06/2025 21:53

Chocolate chip Tracker bars and Walkers beef and onion crisps, both staples of my youth.

Neveranynamesleft · 13/06/2025 21:55

Donkeys years ago someone, cant remember maybe Seabrooks, did single bags of curry flavour crisps. They were lush.

DitzyDerbyBabe86 · 13/06/2025 21:57

Vice Versa’s.
Echo chocolate biscuits.
Cartoonies.

PersephoneSmith · 13/06/2025 21:58

BettyBobble · 13/06/2025 18:35

Agree with dark bounty. Also toast toppers were really nice and I think it was birds eye used to do a frozen beef curry which I absolutely loved as a teenager.

I really miss the ham and mushroom toast toppers!
