Hot crunch pudding! Chocolate, lemon or banana flavour, there was a sachet you'd mix with boiling water to make a flavoured custard and then crunchy topping to sprinkle on top! Childhood highlight that was!

These. Also great to take on Duke of Edinburgh hikes when you had to have some sort of dessert as part of an evening meal as they didn’t weigh much

ShesTheAlbatross · 13/06/2025 19:20

Sainsbury’s do a mini caramel roulade thing. I think they only do it at Christmas/over winter. It comes in packs of two and I swear I must buy 90% of my local shop’s stock.

I don’t know if it’s discontinued, but it’s been sold at least the last two winters. So I’m hoping it comes back this year!

Goodlorditssummer · 13/06/2025 19:20

McDonald’s Cherry Pies were epic. Burnt your mouth to hell but so worth it! Haven’t seen them in decades.
Vimto Squeezy. Bring it back. Immediately!

Ahwig · 13/06/2025 19:22

Sainsbury’s used to do a gorgeous lemon soufflé with white chocolate shavings on top.

Devastated999 · 13/06/2025 19:23

Pizza Expressed stopped making the Venezianna pizza, the bastards!

Mighty White bread

Dominos used to offer a sun dried tomato sauce instead of the standard tomato sauce on the pizza base.

Mushroom Feast frozen breaded mushoom filled loveliness

Thayer’s vanilla ice cream

Lidl Special K dupe (they’ve added sugar, and it’s horrible now).

Phileas Fog Californian Corn Chips

Linda McCartney’s Ploughman’s Pie

Dolmio traditional pasta Sauce

I don’t know if Mackies have stopped making crisps, but I can’t find them here in Kent.

Quatro, but I fear it was the cause of mu numerous fillings in the 80s!

uselesseuphless · 13/06/2025 19:23

Roast beef and mustard Branigans 😞

🍋‍🟩 Lime Lindt and Maille Bearnaise sauce

Maille also used to do a slightly orange coloured mustard, I have no idea of the name of it but I used to mix it up with pasta and tuna, cheese on the top under the grill. Beautiful, addictive. Then suddenly you couldnt find it, and I didnt know what it was called. Used to get it in Safeway in South Norwood (going back a bit). It wasnt seafood sauce, I dont think it was bearnaise, it was definitely a mustard.

Walker1178 · 13/06/2025 19:25

Meanies pickled onion crips
Mint Feast
Snowflake

feathers7 · 13/06/2025 19:27

Ice magic
My sisters and I used to have a competition to see who could leave it the longest, and get the most solid chocolate.
There is a crackin’ sauce these days, but no where near as good ice magic, and the different flavours it came in!

Danceswithweasels · 13/06/2025 19:28

Mint echo bars, perfection. Mackintosh weekend chocolate boxes, so pretty as well. Waitrose used to do tropical fruit cake which had pineapple chunks in it. Canadian Cheddar, I think stores stopped importing? Quatro fizzy drink.

Sourisblanche · 13/06/2025 19:30

Waitrose treacle tart with raspberries. Then Waitrose treacle tart. Both disappeared. Now their treacle tart is a tiny thing which tastes of fake sugar.

It’s such a shame that Waitrose and many other supermarkets are reducing the quality of the ingredients they use to cut costs.

Nicesunflowers · 13/06/2025 19:32

Asda dried egg noodles 1.5 years ago. They have a new type out but they are not the same.

This was a stable food for my 3 children. Especially one with ASD had them daily 😫 I haven’t been able to find another egg dried noodle that has been accepted. We have had all the different supermarket types and I think brands too 😞

So if anyone knows of a good dried egg noodles please let me know! Thank you

They were amazing.

purpleme12 · 13/06/2025 19:32

Harvest cheweee bars.
Used to have them every day ☹️☹️☹️

SendTheNextOneIn · 13/06/2025 19:32

When I was a poor student 25 years ago, Sainsbury’s did these vacuum packed long life potato and egg brunch thing. You just slide it out of the pack into a hot pan and sautéed it for ten minutes. It was like scrambled egg and potato slices. I lived on them.

pambeesleyhalpert · 13/06/2025 19:33

RatherTardy · 13/06/2025 19:11

Where?????

I've not seen them for YEARS

I’m in Bristol and honestly see them everywhere!!

GasperyJacquesRoberts · 13/06/2025 19:37

Devilsmommy · 13/06/2025 18:38

Heinz treacle in a tin. Stupid machine broke and it was too expensive to get the parts remade so they stopped making them😭 wankers!

The original Heinz chocolate pudding was also amazing. It was dense and intensely chocolatey and was perfect to be eaten with custard. When they replaced it with a lighter sponge pudding with a slimy chocolate sauce I almost cried.

StressedEric · 13/06/2025 19:41
