In the 90s M&S used to do these amazing baked potato and butter flavoured crisps, I think they might have been baked/lower fat.

I thought i was the only person that remembered those. They were delicious.

Morning star fake bacon, was amazing

Yes it was and I’d forgotten about it til you said!!

MoistVonL · 13/06/2025 20:08

Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream

M&S deli counter roasted vegetable lasagna. They discontinued it about 5 or 6 years ago and I was heartbroken. It was my go to lazy meal. Just delicious.

Branigans roast beef and mustard crisps.

I loved them ❤️❤️❤️

Very strong flavour, so quite niche

I am sure i bought those in B and M not so long ago.

Gia Chilli Puree seems to have gone!! My absolute go to cooking ingredient, I’m devastated.
Spira bar as well, good reminder!!

EeyoresLostTail · 13/06/2025 20:09

Coconut Boost I used too have them all the time

TimeForTeaAndToast · 13/06/2025 20:10

Lidl used to do pitted sour cherries in a large jar. They were lovely, but they got discontinued probably ten years ago.

Slothsarecool · 13/06/2025 20:12

m&s did a square chocolate bar with dark chocolate on the top and bottom (not sides) and a creamy praline with chocolate bits in the middle. I think it was part of the Swiss range. This would have been the 90s. I still think about these all the time. No idea what is was called!

Yorkshire tea ‘jam and toast’ teabags.
i absolutely loved this tea, and stopped making it but kept the stupid biscuit tea one.

RIP jam and toast tea….

Ready salted chip sticks and shortcake Cadburys chocolate

marketday · 13/06/2025 19:46

Very sad that Cadbury chocolate is nothing like as good as it used to be so might as well be discontinued!

Agree. Haven't bought a creme egg in years. Or dairy milk.

apostrophewoman · 13/06/2025 20:15

In the 70s you could buy a boxed pudding called ‘Saucy Sponge’ which came in different flavours and you just added an egg, they were the best puddings and I still remember them fondly

DeSoleil · 13/06/2025 20:16

Safeways in England in the 80s used to sell Red Leicester cheese with walnuts.

Wilfrida1 · 13/06/2025 20:16

You can still get dark chocolate Bounty, I don’t understand?

I had some at Christmas, so it can’t have been discontinued for long. Maybe there’s still some lying around? Mine went in the bin, I’m afraid!

It was widely publicised that it was being discontinued.
I wonder if it's old stock that's been bought up.

AnnParrot · 13/06/2025 20:20

Maybe it doesn't count, but when Burger King launched the veggie whopper a billion years ago it was amazing. They stopped doing it for a while and then brought it back and it's shit now.

Also Bassett's Red Licorice All Sorts.

I may have seen Mackies crisps that a pp was on about in B &M or Home Bargains i definitely bought a packet of the beef flavour "somewhere " recently.

Probably taken all the salt out

Definitely. My friend in Crete loves it and I always used to take her a box. I've had to take the biscuit one this year but it's not the same.

Campbells celery soup..

Were Cabana bars the ones with cherries and coconut in? If so, I loved those.
I used to like Ice Magic, but that doesn't seem to be around anymore.

Melt chocolate, a couple of drops of your favourite extract out of mint/orange and stir through some coconut oil.

You'll thank me for it.

I miss chilli beanfeast and original (ie, with melon & cucumber) aqua libra. And all the GF savoury items that went out of fashion once plant based was the newest trend or suddenly acquired bloody wheat and barley if they just never had gluten in the first place.

JukeboxJive2 · 13/06/2025 20:26

Milkybar used to do a creme egg sized egg that was white chocolate outside with a strawberry fondant type middle. I used to beg my Mam to buy hoards of these every Easter, I think of them fondly every year!
