I am rewatching Orange is the New Black currently. Taslitz is one of my favourite characters and over a decade later I now learn that she's the lead role in Dead Silence (one of my favourite films).
I was the same when I realised Kirsten Dunst is the little girl vampire in 'Interview with the Vampire'.

Paul Ritter in Chernobyl is a brilliant example of this. What a performance. RIP 💔

Also Violet from Call the Midwife was the abusive mother in Goodnight Mr Tom. I watched a repeat of it at Easter and took me ages to realise why I recognised her. She’s a brilliant actress.

Phoebe’s David in Friends did so many voices in the Simpsons - Apu, Wiggum, Moe, Chalmers, comic book guy, snake (Hank Azaria). He’s in loads & can be very different.

Friends had another Simpsons cameo - Harry Shearer who was the zoo attendant. He was Mr Burns, Skinner, Smithers etc.

I tend to be binge watching a few series at the same time and flit from one to another depending on mood. Recently I was rewatching The Good Wife but also had The Resident on the go. It was ages before I realised Cary Agos (Matt Czuchy) was the same guy as the lead in The Resident. A real wow moment - I think partly because he’s surely too old to be a Resident in real life 😂

I watched the first episode of the original series of All Creatures Great & Small not long after finishing the last series of the current remake and found Robert Hardy's Siegfried to be so full on my blood pressure couldn't deal with it. I must have been having an off day. A few months later I've now seen quite a few episodes of the original and am loving RH's portrayal, he is brilliant.

Actress Celine Buckens was the little girl in War Horse 🙂

Jim was the neighbour played by Mark Heap, he’s still alive. It was the dad, Paul Ritter, who sadly died 😢

Lee Ingleby was also the dad in the lovely series about the founding of Chester Zoo, Our Zoo, the dad in The A Word (with lovely Christopher Eccleston) and the poor doomed Midshipman Mr Hollom in Master And Commander.

Every time I see james mcavoy I remember he was in Shameless no matter what it is, he never mentions it on interviews but I remember 😄

Anne Marie duff not so much.

Emma Bunton was on Eastenders in 1992, before she was a Spice Girl. WARNING: it's quite nasty, she wasn't sugar and spice and all things nice!

While I did know who it was, I'm amazed that Annie Murphy in Kevin Can F* Himself looks so drab, you can see she's beautiful when you really look - she was always glowing in Schitt's Creek.

It also blows my mind that the clones in Orphan Black are played by the same person 🤣

Miriam Margoyles is Professor Sprout in Harry Potter, and has two roles in Blackadder: the Spanish Infanta, and the puritan Lady Whiteadder.

Also in Blackadder: Pasty Byrne who played Nursie also very fittingly plays the giant nurse in the BBC adaptation of CS Lewis's The Silver Chair.

Yep yep yep. My OH and I often lose the thread of a new movie or series we are watching because we are busy discussing or even googling what we’ve seen each actor in before!

Robert Jack is his name, he did our local panto for years, he was great really funny, I've not been for a couple of years so I don't know if he still does it,maybe too busy being in Shetland 😀

Me, too. I baffled my DH recently by recognising the actor who played Gunther in Cobra Kai from an oil ad shown in Ireland in the nineties.

Yes! The little lad in Brassic is the same lad in Corrie. Apparently he filmed both at the same time. Amazing.

Rebecca Front was suddenly everywhere and I knew I recognized her voice! I had a nosy on her IMDb profile and at the very bottom it says Dizzy Heights hotel. Same with Floella in Bridgerton - Playschool!

Oh and a wonderful actress whose name I can't remember was

• Ophelia in the National Theatre Hamlet that was streamed with Benedict Cumberbatch
• the suspicious neighbour in the Karen Matthews thing
• Sherlock Holmes' sister also with Benedict Cumberbatch

Now THAT is range.

Mark Heap hasn’t died - it was the chap who played the Dad in FND. He had a brain tumour.

I think we’ve well and truly established the hopefully robust health of Mark Heap. Who does look remarkably different from Spaced to Green Wing.
