It's disgusting

I'm sorting my front garden. Some children and their mum walked past. One of the kids said she's doing her garden to. The woman looked back at my garden and said its disgusting.

I'm a bit pissed of because she doesn't know my life what I have been through or how far i have come. But I also not overly pissed of because she doesn't knlw that.

But im also thinking why you judging something that's clearly not finished. That makes no sense what so ever.

But mostly why is she saying stuff like that to her children about other people.

Some people have to say something even if it's nothing to do with them.

My neighbour behind made a point of coming out to say that he was going to take yo me about my fence whilst the new fence was being put in. There is so much that needs doing here he's lucky I put a new fence up at all.

Keep going girl ❤️ - I left a house with a garden to go to a London flat - so happy as I found the garden so overwhelming and couldn't keep on top of it

Yeah I know. Or evem just said yeah the weather is right for it or something.. or even more simple:oh yeah.

I think its more of why say it. I wont loose sleep its more of a wtf moment.

Well if a big thing is going on it doesn't stay neat and tidy whilst it's happening . Probably thinks it's done by magic

Her gardens probably tidy and perfect though. Wish I had said something. But its not me really.

Yeah I think I was more shocked that she said it to her children. My garden has looked like a building site for the past few days she would have fainted yesterday.

My neighbours are absolutely disgusting, derogatory and well vile to me and my husband. We are in our 30s and they are all 70+ and they don't like us because we are young.
They have harassed, terrorise, call us, goad us, and say very very vile and nasty things to us for nothing.
They have absolutely no idea what I have been through and why I live in a primarily older people's housing area.
Even though the housing association property I live isn't specified to over 65s, they think I'm not deserving of it but they have no idea what is wrong with me and I don't have to justify it.
I feel so uncomfortable in my own home.
Some people are just vile humans OP and just wired wrong and will just go out of their way to be nasty bastards.
Good luck in making your garden nice xx

That's awful. I honestly don't understand people like that i mean what do they gain from it. Sounds like you have been through a hard time. And need a peaceful life. Can you put in for an exchange? I get that's easier saud than done though. Hope your OK.

I hope you are ok too but sometimes it's hard to just ignore them when they are so vile - one of the neighbours called us bastards the other day because the Amazon driver accidently put my parcel in HIS neighbours outbuilding.
The same neighbour calls us twats, arseholes for no reason. He's not the only one.
Anyway enough of me.
The best you can do is make your garden fabulous as can be show them idiots because I know mindless comments do hurt.

Have you been reporting it? And keeping a diary? Does there seems to be a ring leader? I have always wondered why some people are so horrible. Why they feel the need to do it. What they get from it. Sorry it's so hard on you. 💐

She was horribly rude. A genuinely keen gardener would probably come over and had a chat about what hard work gardening can be sometimes, and sympathised with you.

We're 'wilding' our garden, so it has overgrown areas that are quite visible.
We are on a route that has a lot of foot traffic through to a nursery school and have had some lovely chats to people explaining what we're doing and showing them (and little kids) the frogs, lizards, beetles, butterflies and other creatures that live there.
