Stay alive if no man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you in any way?

Doesn’t apply to me but curious as friends were discussing this the other night. Answers from women only - would you stay alive/be able to enjoy life if literally NO man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you/turned on by you in any way, shape or form? And why?

Since I've had children it doesn't bother me. When I was younger then it was more important

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 16/05/2025 14:06

What a bizarre question.

At my age, I really couldn't care less.

Cavello · 16/05/2025 14:06

Yes, because believe it or not for some women the world does not revolve around whether a man is interested in them. Life can be very fulfilling without a man.

LiftWantedAroundTheWorld · 16/05/2025 14:06

I seem to be managing it just fine, thanks

AliBaliBee1234 · 16/05/2025 14:06

yeesh · 16/05/2025 14:08

what the fuck. You & your “friends” need to get a life

WhySoManySocks · 16/05/2025 14:08

I currently have severe PMS and do not want to touch any man, ever, sexually or otherwise, ever again, because they’re yuck. I expect it will pass in about 2 weeks but yes, I’m still alive.

JoyousEagle · 16/05/2025 14:08

Yes I’d stay alive, and enjoy life. But I also really like sex (with men), so I wouldn’t be thrilled.

Game0fCrones · 16/05/2025 14:09

I really wouldnt care to be honest. There's more to life than men.

SheridansPortSalut · 16/05/2025 14:09

It sounds delightful tbh. Think of all the harassment and unwanted attention we've all endured over the years. Not encountering it is one of the perks of growing old.

This. Definitely.

IjustbelieveinMe · 16/05/2025 14:11

As long as there are dogs all is well in the world.

snughugs · 16/05/2025 14:11

Would anyone give a toss? I certainly wouldn’t. I’m loosing weight and one thing that’s annoying is the male attention is back much more. I don’t rate it.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 16/05/2025 14:11

Christ, yes, but I'm mid 50s so this is how it is anyway (apart from my husband!) 😂

housinglife · 16/05/2025 14:11

Of course I could!

Lots of people thrive without a relationship. It’s hardly unusual.

TreesWelliesKnees · 16/05/2025 14:11

What a bizarre topic of conversation. Do your friends think they would shrivel up and die if men didn't look at them? Or that we live in an time where we will become expendable at a certain age and be killed off to preserve resources? There are women walking about all over the world who aren't fancied by anyone and I'm fairly sure it has no influence on their survival rates. On their happiness, maybe, if being desired occasionally results in being loved.

LavenderBlue19 · 16/05/2025 14:12

Eh? Why on earth would I need a man to enjoy life?

Sex is great but it's definitely not essential.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 16/05/2025 14:12

Heck of an assumption to make that everyone is straight.
But yes, I'd be perfectly happy to be treated as a human rather than a sex object.

This. If dogs no longer liked me, that would make life very depressing. But men? No, I couldn’t care less.

arcticpandas · 16/05/2025 14:14

I would be happy if noone found me attractive. I wish my DH didn't because I have no libido (10 years+) and it would be easier for him if he found me repulsive I suppose. That being said I don't do anything to be attractive, just want to look clean and proper.

housinglife · 16/05/2025 14:15

I should add that I am 52, so my appeal to men is fading, and I don’t find that easy ( still have an active sex drive). But the idea that I’d rather be dead is ludicrous! There is literally a whole world of other great stuff to do and great people to know.

heavenisaplaceonearth · 16/05/2025 14:15

Well yes obviously.

LoremIpsumCici · 16/05/2025 14:16

Yes because that would only cut my dating pool in half.

countrygirl99 · 16/05/2025 14:17

I could cope without a man quite easily. Life without horses or dogs would be horrible.

YearlySubscriptionRenewal · 16/05/2025 14:17

Yes...

It would be shit, but stay "alive"?
People have survived through a hell of a lot worst.

I am sure I would find distractions to make it more bearable.
