Stay alive if no man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you in any way?

Doesn’t apply to me but curious as friends were discussing this the other night. Answers from women only - would you stay alive/be able to enjoy life if literally NO man on earth was sexually or physically attracted to you/turned on by you in any way, shape or form? And why?

Eh? Why on earth would I need a man to enjoy life?

Sex is great but it's definitely not essential.

Not essential as in "food and water essentials" possibly, but life is rather dull and miserable without good sex.

But with 0 men around, I am sure most of us (currently straight) could start looking at women!

You should read “I who have never known men”
My life is worth everything to me. I don’t care about my attractiveness to anyone else.

I’d live and thrive.

we have toys and batteries still right?

VeryQuaintIrene · 16/05/2025 14:23

I'm gay, so no.

VeryQuaintIrene · 16/05/2025 14:24

I mean yes!

WallaceinAnderland · 16/05/2025 14:25

Yes. I don't live for men.

Mamabear425 · 16/05/2025 14:25

Can we take a lesbian lover in this hypothetical situation? 😂

Whiteflowerscreed · 16/05/2025 14:26

Can’t believe this is even a discussion point. I’m early 30s and would happily stay alive with no man interested in me. My worth, value and contentment aren’t derived from male gaze

BarneyRonson · 16/05/2025 14:27

This is a hilarious question. I have to wonder the age of the askers.

I couldn’t give a hoot about men and their hormones!

EmpressaurusKitty · 16/05/2025 14:28

What a weird question. Do your friends honestly think life’s not worth living unless men find them attractive?

They need cats.

Jk987 · 16/05/2025 14:30

Staying alive and being able to enjoy life are two very different things!

Of course you could stay alive but in the extremely unlikely event that no one was attracted to you it would be very miserable. There is so much you can do to change your attractiveness though!

Some people are asexual so wouldn’t give a monkeys I guess.

LarkAscendingRose · 16/05/2025 14:30

I enjoyed being married to a great man. I'm now a widow in my 50s and I enjoy friends, my daughters, gardening, nature. I'm pretty sure no man is attracted to me but that's OK. Been there, done that.

DahliaBlooming · 16/05/2025 14:31

WTF?! I'm guessing you and your friends are all young and have yet to reach your 'last fuckable day'

Octopusespunchforfun · 16/05/2025 14:31

😬 Um yes because my worth isn’t decided by how fuckable a man thinks I am 💃🏻

Yes, its a bit sad to base your enjoyment of life on whether men like you.

MaryGreenhill · 16/05/2025 14:32

Easy 😁

Twinklewonderkins · 16/05/2025 14:34

Are you writing a dystopian novel where women can only exist if the male gaze is upon them and the minute it stops they crumble to dust??

Ponderingwindow · 16/05/2025 14:35

I don’t even understand this question. Why would I care that much if random men were interested in me?

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 16/05/2025 14:35

I actually love being old an invisible... I don't get beeped at, oogled, hit on anymore. Its wonderful.

purplecorkheart · 16/05/2025 14:36

I am happily single. I do not know nor care if men find me attractive or not.

Augustus40 · 16/05/2025 14:36

I cannot think of a more pleasurable way to live.

Lapidarian · 16/05/2025 14:37

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 16/05/2025 14:06

What a bizarre question.

At my age, I really couldn't care less.

I agree it’s bizarre, but I’m sure that not even in my insecure teens was my entire reason for living my fuckability in the eyes of men! Your fruends are deeply odd and mega-depressing.

MauraLabingi · 16/05/2025 14:37

So you're asking would I prefer to be dead than to lead an interesting life being happy and fulfilled by my job/hobbies/extended family/friends/holidays or whatever?
What a great idea OP! Why haven't I realised how great death would be up 'til now. Silly me.

Augustus40 · 16/05/2025 14:38

Some really great replies on here!
