Most hated domestic task

Just for fun or to have a moan. What do you hate the most.

Washing the walls/ceiling.

Ironing. Hence why I am very picky with clothes and rarely buy linen etc which has to be ironed.

Cooking and meal planning. You dont list it.

Pulling the plug out of the sink in the morning when Someone left the dirty washing up water sitting in it all night.

I'm a bit surprised by the "washing the ceiling" comment - is this something lots of people do?

I detest doing the bathroom but also I absolutely refuse to do gardening. Couldn't say which i hate more

Ironing. I’m rubbish at it.

@GettingFestiveNow I have only done it before painting.

Eww at the sink, the only option is the plunge the offenders head into it.

I hate them all except changing the sheets and taking the rubbish out and I love gardening!

Can't believe I forgot to put ironing.

Probably once every couple of months, but it's exhausting. I couldn't stand to have dust and cobwebs though.

Sink soup. I hate that so much.

I hate the dishwasher, but hate washing up more. The dishwasher takes minutes but I spend so much time avoiding doing it. Just don't understand.

@ThejoyofNC Do you actually wash it though? I use a feather duster or the hoover to get cobwebs.

Changing the bedsheets.

Surprised ironing isn’t on it. Only job is dislike.

Folding the washing and putting it away. What a drag! My washing pile just seems endless at the moment!

Oooh hard to choose,
it’s between ironing (which I do about 3 times a year when it is absolutely essential that it’s done)
or meal planning with 2 different allergies and 2 small children. There is not one single meal that everyone can eat that no one will moan about.

It's probably because I hate ironing so much that I rarely do it so forgot to put it as an option.

Putting the sodding washing away.

Vacuuming. i swear that machine is trying to kill me on the stairs

Putting clean clothes away does my head in. I'm trying to train myself to do it after every load of washing so it doesn't build up. I only have my own clothes to put away anyway 🤦‍♀️

I don't intrinsically dislike any other jobs and I never wash the ceiling because I would definitely hate that. I do dust it though.

Cleaning the bathroom - small room but so time consuming!

Taking the food shopping out of the boot of the car, dragging it into the house and putting it away. I love the actual food shop though!
