No hayfever this year (anyone else?)

Normally I get pretty bad hayfever from mid-March to around now, from tree pollen.

I had it for a few days in March and then it just disappeared. Especially odd as it's been warm and sunny which normally flares it up.

Anyone else had no or much milder hayfever this year?

Yes, same here. I would usually be on medication by now and need to be careful using the usual ones this year as they conflict with something else I have started taking.

bigboykitty · 13/05/2025 15:20

Same. Have had it since I was a child. Live on antihistamines from April to October. Nada.

Signedcopy · 13/05/2025 17:18

Obviously I'm not complaining but I wondered if it was just me! It's really lovely to have enjoyed Spring without it!

Same here too!

Nutmuncher · 13/05/2025 17:19

Interesting because the hay fever sufferers at work all seem to be ok this year too….

Coconutter24 · 13/05/2025 17:20

My DH started couple of days ago with symptoms and my DD yesterday

Devilsmommy · 13/05/2025 17:22

Weirdly my little one who had hayfever when he was 8 months old didn't have it last year but it seems to have come back with a vengeance this year

Toddlerteaplease · 13/05/2025 17:25

I’ve not had it since I had treatment for my MS. Every cloud has a silver lining.

123ZYX · 13/05/2025 17:25

It’s because I am suffering hay fever enough for the whole country. You’re welcome 😉

ketchuptomato · 13/05/2025 17:26

I normally suffer quite bad, I was just thinking the same this morning.

however I’ve just had a few sneezes. I hope its not the dreaded hayfever

MelOfTheRoses · 13/05/2025 17:26

Worst ever year here 🤣

Iwant2move · 13/05/2025 17:27

Horrible this year but nothing for the previous two years.

Oystersandchampagne · 13/05/2025 17:28

Hayfever has been absolutely bloody awful this year!

Notonthestairs · 13/05/2025 17:29

My hayfever seems particularly severe this year. Started earlier than usual too.

familyissues12345 · 13/05/2025 17:29

I had it awful Friday/Saturday but nothing since. Normally I’m on permanent antihistamines from April to Aug/Sept

Addictedtohotbaths · 13/05/2025 17:29

Pretty bad for me and both DC

hellsbells99 · 13/05/2025 17:30

I am in the North West and our hay fever is terrible - DD particularly suffering

dizzydizzydizzy · 13/05/2025 17:31

None for me either. Mine usually starts end of February with the blackthorn flowering. Was awful last year and the year before.

Bizarrely, DM who is in her 80s, has it this year for the first time in her life , as does 22yo DC1.

giddyauntie123 · 13/05/2025 17:32

I usually get allergy flare ups at night, and since I've been cold dipping they've gone, (so far !)

MILLYmo0se · 13/05/2025 17:34

I'm in Ireland but mines not too bad this year but DD has been suffering bad sinus headaches and blowing her nose constantly despite daily antihistamines. 2 friends that wouldn't be bothered all that much by hay-fever both ending up in bed yesterday with the sneezing, streaming eyes and headache. We must be sensitive to different pollen or something

helpmeCalifornia · 13/05/2025 17:34

Little bit here but not as bad as usual, was only thinking that the other day. DD seems to be starting with symptoms though.

stayathomer · 13/05/2025 17:35

We were just talking about this today at the school gates- those of us that usually get hayfever have very little this year but loads of people and kids have horrendously bad hayfever that never had it before!

Everyone at work are suffering badly this year. I am suffering but not worse than normal.

Jcee · 13/05/2025 17:37

Worst I've ever had this year. Same for DC too

WinchSparkle80 · 13/05/2025 17:39

Mine is normally bad from end of March til mid July. I was thinking the same @Signedcopy but literally this morning it started… hopefully milder 🤞🏻
