For me its a Sweater Shop jumper which was bought in one of the factory sales TSS used to have in the mid 90s. It's very thick and baggy which only wear if unwell or freezing cold outside.

It must be 30 years old.

I have an east 17 t shirt from a concert in 1995 that I still wear as a pyjama top.

IceIceBabyBump · 09/04/2025 15:29

A Dorothy Perkins parka jacket that I bought in 2002 ready to start sixth form college.

I still wear it daily in autumn and spring.

The PJs that I keep at my mum's to wear when I visit are from Christmas 1997.

I would say my lucky knickers, which strangely fit me at any size. They’re just a cheap leopard print pair from Primark. Must be 20 years old, and still going strong. I don’t get as lucky, now I’m married… But I still get a kick from wearing them!

EmpressaurusKitty · 09/04/2025 15:31

A green fleece that must be about 12 years old by now & is still really comfy. Strictly indoor only though.

PeskyRooks · 09/04/2025 15:33

I have a long bottle green hooded cardigan that my Nan knitted me when I was 17. I wear it all the time, and I turn 50 later this year!

CrickityCrickets · 09/04/2025 15:34

I have a t-shirt bought in about 2005 from Primark. It was probably £1.50.

CeeJay81 · 09/04/2025 15:37

A red velour m&s top I got second hand from a charity shop over 16 years ago. No idea how long it had been in use before then.

Shelledwarrior · 09/04/2025 15:38

My mum passed away in 2021 but she regularly still wore a cotton St Michael’s (M&S) blue gingham long nightdress that she had had “since before me and your father got married”.
They married in 1965!
I have to say it was made of lovely cotton and still looks almost as good as new. It’s one of those sentimental pieces I can’t give away.

shellyleppard · 09/04/2025 15:38

A orange chenille jumper I brought from Primark....oooo.....30 years ago!!! Its getting a bit thin now so have to wear a top underneath.

henlake7 · 09/04/2025 15:43

I dont have a lot due to changing sizes drastically but I do have my 35 yr old Regatta fleece coat.
Worn it to work every year, wether I was a size 10 or a size 24....its kinda like the Tardis!

Havingaswimmoose · 09/04/2025 15:43

I'm sixty. I have a Levi jacket I got when I was thirteen years old.
So, a forty seven year old Levi jacket.

My friend's Mum shortened the sleeves because it was men's styles only in those days.

I still have the same boyfriend too. He became my DH.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 09/04/2025 15:44

A pair of denim hot pants from Top Shop (does that still exist) about 20 years ago that I’m proud that still fit me 😂.

BigDahliaFan · 09/04/2025 15:45

I'm wearing an M&S green short trench coat today that I have had at least 15 years. I've a pair of H&M stretchy trousers that have seen me through sizes 12 to 18 and back....

ViciousCurrentBun · 09/04/2025 15:47

My Grandmothers silk wrap only for weddings so occasionally, it’s from the 1930’s. Actual item I wear a lot a pair of maternity cargo trousers that are 25 years old.

Zeitumschaltung · 09/04/2025 15:49

I have a pair of pyjamas I bought for 99p in the Primark sale in 1998. I used to have two of them, but the other disintegrated last year.

Sgtmajormummy · 09/04/2025 16:13

The same accessories come out every winter. Woolly hats, gloves and scarves don’t go out of fashion.
I wear vintage silk scarves and leather gloves that were handed down from DMIL probably from the 60s and 70s.
Some button-through summer dresses from before 27yo DC was born. If they’re out of fashion this year I just box them up again.

CampanulaMila · 09/04/2025 16:16

i have a dress I bought when I was at university, so nearly 20 years ago now (yikes) that I still wear every summer. The dress was vintage/secondhand when I got it so I would guess it’s 40+ years old (the cotton is getting a bit thin in places - I had it mended last summer.)

RiRaAgusRuailleBuaille · 09/04/2025 16:20

Oldest shoes are my DMs from 1994 and oldest item of clothing (that I regularly wear) is my Habitat towelling dressing gown with massive hood that I got for Christmas 1995 because at university, I had to walk outside through the quad to get to a shower and hated having to take my clothes with me and back (plus there was usually someone waiting grumbling at how long the person before them took). So 31 and 30 years!

Mouseylu · 09/04/2025 16:21

A snoopy t shirt my dad brought back from America in 1989.

TokyoSushi · 09/04/2025 16:26

A black maternity vest from mamas and papas that I bought when I was pregnant with DS. I wash and wear it over and over in the winter as a base layer, in fact I have it on now - DS is 14!

vandelier · 09/04/2025 16:32

Probably not the worst of things to have for nearly 12 years, but a black long stylish (still, as in timeless, I think!) midi length jacket/coat. It has quilted lining and although it didn't cost much it looks ok still.

I use it for Winter funerals. Of which there are more now that my parent's generation (and some of my own sadly) are passing away. Always good to have a funeral "go to" item or two. One that sits in the wardrobe all the time, but can be pulled out when needed for such occasions.

MrsAvocet · 09/04/2025 16:33

I've got an arran jumper that my late mum knitted for me about 30 years ago that I still wear though it's a bit of a snug fit now. I don't wear it in public much but I do put it on in the house on days when I am particularly missing her.

CarpetKnees · 09/04/2025 16:35

A couple of jumpers from the 1980s, and a big home made cable knitted cardigan
I've got some shoes and boots from the 90s, and a couple of dresses.

Grin at a pp thinking something 12 years old was a longstanding piece of clothing.

MrsMitford3 · 09/04/2025 16:38

My DD is wearing an old over sized t-shirt of mine as pjs-it is her absolute fav.

It is much older than her-I reckon 35+ years!!
It has a couple of holes and fraying at the collar but just makes her love it more!

MrsMitford3 · 09/04/2025 16:39

I also have some Laura Ashely clothes from the 80's-some I wear and some I can't bear to part with😂
