Does anyone know where my glasses are?

I’m hoping the Mumsnet hive mind might be able to help me find my work glasses. I lost them a week ago and am having a terrible time trying to use my laptop for work now as I can’t read properly. I have some varifocals and can see a bit through the bottom part but it’s not ideal and outs my neck at a funny angle.
The only thing I can remember about my glasses is hearing them drop somewhere. I didn’t pick them up at the time which suggests i was possibly carrying something with both hands. I suspect it was a parcel delivery probably Amazon.
I have ADHD so am always losing glasses. keys etc and have a terrible memory.
Ive tried looking everywhere I can think of but no sign of the glasses. Suggest me some places to look please.

I guess the real solution is to order new ones (especially expensive new ones) then the old ones will miraculously appear, so you can then cancel the order - or have a spare pair that you can never seem to find when you actually need them!

Try my recent places; in a make up bag, in a carrier bag that contains excess clear out for now stuff from your main shoulder bag, your Kitchenaid mixer, dog basket, inside a cup, inside medicine cabinet because why would they be in the same place where you know where they are always and if anyone suggests that that happens you have my consent to offer to duct tape their crazy little mouths.

I agree with other poster, praying to St. Antony is your next task if you are awaiting ADHD meds like me too, because after the prayer the onslought of a spring clean starts and at least you’ll find your passport, about a fiver, your favourite knife and some very old unchecked lotto tickets, your work desk key, Please let us know where you find and the level of happiness , the logic behind your , “I’ll just pop them there” reason. I’ve found £300 that I’d popped into a pasta pot in back of cupboard when I’ve been sorting out, broke, grateful to be random then!

Hard to believe but cleaning out my bathroom this morning I saw dd’s similar looking glasses that have been there for weeks. I thought I’ll just try in case, and flip me they’re my second pair 😆 hope this spurs you on o.p!

I love this! I also lose my keys pretty much daily, the dogs lead, eye drops, hand cream, remotes, but i never lose my old glasses which aren’t really the right prescription now but i end up using them as better than nothing.

on the top of the fridge
in a cereal box
in the bin

can you tell I lose things whilst doing stuff in the kitchen a lot?

As well as a chain or cord get a key finder like this. I have one on two sets of keys my phone (as DS was getting fed up of ringing it and my glasses)

Today i had to break hard in my car and my phone shot down the side of the seat. When i fished it out it was on top of …. my lost glasses!
My new glasses arrived an hour before that. You couldn’t make it up!

If you find them let me know where you find them. Mine are also missing.

I usually find mine by sitting on them 🤦🏽‍♀️

That's called sods law and entirely predictable the second the new glass turned up the old ones would be found

I use a Samsung tag on my keys, wonderful thing.
I also use the find my phone facilities on my watch. Brilliant invention.

So pleased. Isn't it wierd that you remembered them dropping but couldn't remember where. Now it turns out it was down the side of your car!

So glad you found them… and now have a spare! I have 4 pairs of cheap readers and still can never find one!
