Does anyone know where my glasses are?

I’m hoping the Mumsnet hive mind might be able to help me find my work glasses. I lost them a week ago and am having a terrible time trying to use my laptop for work now as I can’t read properly. I have some varifocals and can see a bit through the bottom part but it’s not ideal and outs my neck at a funny angle.
The only thing I can remember about my glasses is hearing them drop somewhere. I didn’t pick them up at the time which suggests i was possibly carrying something with both hands. I suspect it was a parcel delivery probably Amazon.
I have ADHD so am always losing glasses. keys etc and have a terrible memory.
Ive tried looking everywhere I can think of but no sign of the glasses. Suggest me some places to look please.

There probably in the black hole where my spare pair are, have searched and searched not a bloody clue where they are 😤

Mine were in my sock drawer. They must have fallen from the dressing table. Take everything out of each drawer then put it all back tidily. If not there pull the furniture away from the wall in each room, hoover and dust the skirtings.
I can never find things by looking for them, only by focusing on cleaning.

Bottom tuck of your curtains, that’s where I found mine once!

Caught up in a throw/blanket on your bed or sofa?

Check all pockets, eg coats, cardigans, dressing gown.
Specs can be hard to spot if they fall down somewhere. I found some reading glasses recently that had been missing for a year ! I thought they had fallen behind a bookshelf, searched underneath etc, a mystery. Then I was tidying up a year later and spotted them, they had landed on top of the skirting board, in a way that was hard to see .

Unexpected places I have found my reading or driving glasses:
Inside a Xmas present I'd wrapped
In the fridge
Under a rose bush
In the cutlery drawer
In my friend's car
In pockets
Under a radiator
In the kitchen bin
In the laundry basket
In the dog bed (chewed but I'm still wearing them!)
There's probably more but I just can't remember them all...

My carer's glasses went missing for a week and turned up in the fridge of all places.

I found mine in the Morrisons salad bar !

I have no idea but last week I lost mine, couldn't find them, asked DH and DD if they had seen them - neither had (DH started helping me look) sometime later found them on my head 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I panic when I think I've lost something and don't properly check all the obvious places. Often when I look a bit deeper in my pocket or bag or bowl by the front door I'll find my glasses/keys/important scrap of paper that I've been frantically searching for.

I once returned a jumper and managed to bundle my glasses in it without noticing. Luckily the company rang me and posted then back! I was so grateful. I thought the dog had eaten them but was puzzled by the absence of any remains.

They've got stuck down the side of your shoe rack

I’ve looked in clean laundry that’s been put away, under and behind the sofa. by the washing machine in case they were bundled up with dirty washing, all pockets of dressing gown and coats, all handbags i use, under my desk, under and behind my bed, under the dogs bed and lots more places. So annoying!

With my sunreaders? If you find them together, will you let me know - I have spent two days looking for them....

Have you checked in any shoes or boots you have not worn recently.

Any baskets/storage boxes

Any space under any units/ furniture that they may have gone under

Under a desk or dining table

In a laptop bag or a file

Between the bed and the mattress, on the bookcase or in a shoe are my suggestions. The optician can often re-order the same pair you had last time without you having to go in person to request them.

In a kitchen drawer. Mine fell off, I got what I wanted then closed the drawer

Perhaps I have a ghost. Or a large rat. or an unseen Magpie

If only the dog could sniff them out 😂

In winter shoes you haven’t worn all week, my car keys turned up in a hiking boot 9 months later!
