Does anyone know where my glasses are?

I’m hoping the Mumsnet hive mind might be able to help me find my work glasses. I lost them a week ago and am having a terrible time trying to use my laptop for work now as I can’t read properly. I have some varifocals and can see a bit through the bottom part but it’s not ideal and outs my neck at a funny angle.
The only thing I can remember about my glasses is hearing them drop somewhere. I didn’t pick them up at the time which suggests i was possibly carrying something with both hands. I suspect it was a parcel delivery probably Amazon.
I have ADHD so am always losing glasses. keys etc and have a terrible memory.
Ive tried looking everywhere I can think of but no sign of the glasses. Suggest me some places to look please.

I found my (lost) keys in the wardrobe in a bag I only used for dog walking, could they be somewhere like that? It was a second set so there was no panic but it took months to discover them.

I have 5 pairs of glasses I lose them in rotation.
(I buy the cheap multi packs at the market now) I just cant waste all that time searching all day.
H sat on one pair recently, & my favs melted on top of the log burner… down to 3

Mine are usually on top of or under books on the bookshelf,there are about 10 shelves and the books are higgedypiggedy so plenty of places to hide

I have a feeling you dropped them and picked them up, but you still think they’re on the floor. I feel like they’re up high somewhere. Like on top of a cupboard or something.

Last time I lost mine I found them in the fridge. I had taken them off to read the packet on something and left them in the shelf.

I know this not helpful in an urgent situation. But I have found this trick: wait until you lose something else, then you will find the previously lost item.

I had also cleared out my car but sadly no glasses. I still haven’t found them and have ordered a new pair but they won’t arrive until next Thursday. 😎

How irritating. Check all pockets of coats, cardigans, dressing gowns, anything you might have been wearing at the time of the drop.

You really need a pair of “looking for glasses glasses” to keep in a certain place. Have you checked the back of the loo? Where do you usually put them at night? Have they fallen? Can you think of any other scenario where you would have taken them off?

They are purely work glasses so they aren’t used after about 5.30. They are an intermediate prescription for laptop/ monitor use, if i wear them around the house i cant see anything. My desk is in my bedroom so if for instance my doorbell goes I generally get up from my chair, take off the glasses and go to the door. Often though i forget to take them off or take them off on the way to the door.

Underneath a unit or piece of furniture...possibly been kicked....picked up amongst something else. Good luck
