It doesn't "speak" anything. Settlements are quite common, often for economic reasons. Plus there was also the matter of reputational damage which would have come about whether he was guilty or not.

Indeed. I mean you could argue that accepting the settlement shows she only wanted money and knew her evidence was lacking.

But that wouldn't be fair either - the truth is that people settle all the time in cases like these for all sorts of reasons and you can't really conclude anything concrete from it

Sorry but I don't believe this.

Fake news?

As in her social media has been hacked or she's making it up herself?

loropianalover · 31/03/2025 16:44

I think she is mentally unwell. Her dad commented ’I love you and am praying for you to get the correct treatment for a long and healthy life.’ This doesn’t sound like what you’d say if your child had been given 4 days to live.

Whatever is going on with her and her kids, this is sadly coming off as an attempt to guilt them into seeing her.

OneBadKitty · 31/03/2025 16:44

I never believe anything she says- I think she's an attention seeking liar.

lolly792 · 31/03/2025 16:45

She’s estranged from her teenage kids. I hope this isn’t a manipulative attempt to guilt trip them into seeing her. Whatever is behind it, it’s shit for them.

If only there was some sort of treatment for kidney failure, like dialysis….

oh wait..

I've no idea of the facts here but people still die of kidney failure despite the existence of dialysis

angsty · 31/03/2025 16:50

Bit weird that her father is offering support performatively over the internet rather than actually, you know, in reality. And that she is performatively posting her own confidential medical information about a supposed fatal medical condition. I know nothing about her psychosocial history but there is more (or perhaps less) to this than meets the eye. Doctors don't generally tell you you have "four days to live". I think the kindest explanation would be that she is on some heavy analgesics...

Or someone has hacked her Insta account and this is a very unfunny April Fool.

There some fairly strong evidence she was a victim of CSE, that's going to mess up your mental health.

angsty · 31/03/2025 16:52

People do certainly die of renal failure but not usually acutely if they are in hospital and immediate treatment is available (including a specialist urology unit).

Fake News!!!

It’s everywhere in the news now 🤔 very interesting

Its front page of the mail, but I don’t want to give them the clicks.

I will wait to see if it appears in other news sources before I make up my mind about its veracity.

It's on all the new sites, but it's being reported as "VG claims", I.e. the news is that this is what she's saying, not that this is what happened.

WhereIsMyLight · 31/03/2025 17:13

When people say they aren’t conspiracy theorists but then post some bullshit, you know you’re just feeding the ridiculousness of conspiracy theorists right?

Aside from the other things PP have pointed out. Let’s pretend this was a plan to take her out. It’s a fucking bus. There are much more effective ways of killing someone rather than using a slow moving, giant vehicle that needs to stop to let on other passengers and has to follow a designated route. How do make sure she is in the same place as the bus? That the bus doesn’t get stuck in traffic? That the driver of the bus isn’t diverted onto an earlier bus because their colleague isn’t there? What happens if she’d decided to get a coffee that day or she took a different route because of roadworks?

BatchCookBabe · 31/03/2025 17:16

Is it true though?

On every different news site? 🤷‍♀️

Hardly "every" - at time of writing it doesn't seem to be on the BBC or Guardian, which would always be my main sources and I am pleased by the fact they don't have it. Presumable they are actually being journalists and trying to verify the story.

Well it appears to be true that that's what she's claiming...

scotstars · 31/03/2025 17:18

Awful if true... she will of course be damaged by her past and her marriage/family breakdown I hope this is not a cynical plot to guilt her estranged kids into visiting

It's on Sky News, Daily Telegraph & Evening Standard websites now.

Gelatibon · 31/03/2025 17:20

You're not looking very hard, it's on Sky, The Telegraph, Evening Standard, The Times, Independent....but they're only reporting that's she claims to have been hit by a bus and have days to live, not that those are the facts.
