80s for me!

Yes! Hair twisted into a load of those tiny crocodile hair clips, glittery lip gloss and my black velvet trousers from next I saved up my babysitting money to buy. Strappy top and my denim jacket. Tiny handbag. I've got a part time job where I earn £120 a month and it's all spending money. I will take loads of photos and on Monday I'll be going into boots after school and pay for the 1 hour service because I can afford it.

Those were the days!! I would roll in at 2am, then get up at 7 and go to work (probably still drunk), come home, shower, tea, and off out again! Sundays I wouldn’t surface until mum had brought me tea and biscuits 😆

Buying a bottle of rum and blackcurrant cordial and realising we didn’t have a glass. So downed the rum so we could mix it, all while walking to the disco. We were so drunk. My friend who had a white coat, she was so drunk, was doing snow angles on the toilet floor. No hang over though next day. On Saturday we’d spend the day hanging around the shopping centre eating M&S crisps. Nothing else mattered and we thought we looked so good! This was in the 80s.

No social media so you could look a sweaty mess after dancing in your heels for hours, make up smudged and a packet of ciggys down your bra. The best times ever!

Can’t seem to edit so need to add, the £5 was in a little cloth bag pinned to the waistband and not directly shoved down my pants!!

I have to go out tonight and I'm not happy! Yawning already and looking forward to my bed! 😄

I had my son at 18 he`s now out tonight with mates clubbing.
Im out tomorrow night with mates we dont have to stop good times we just make more.

I’m in my 60’s and still enjoy the ritual of getting ready in my bedroom to go out (more often in the afternoon now). I still have music playing, but it doesn’t take me quite as long now.

Hiding the good outfit under my mattress so my sister doesn't steal it .

I still have nights like this except it costs more than £20 and I’m in my own house getting ready.

Oh god yes! Now I’m in my pjs drinking lemon tea wishing I could live vicariously through my 19 year old daughter but she’s not interested in going out like that 🫣😭

Wish I hadn't gone after the inappropriate relationships and lived this stage maybe when my kiddo has grown ill live it in my 50s!
