Obviously I do but just curious, if you're eligible e.g. watch live tv, do you?

Yes

sanityisamyth · 28/02/2025 20:29

Yes! I like BBC programmes, radio, news and all the educational output is great for pre-schoolers to A level students and beyond!

FuckMeUpFlorida · 28/02/2025 20:29

Yes, of course.

Hortus · 28/02/2025 20:44

Of course.
I despise people who watch live TV or iPlayer and are proud of the fact they don't pay. I hope they get caught.

MelainesLaugh · 28/02/2025 20:46

Err yes!

Pancakeflipper · 28/02/2025 20:47

Yes.

To me it's worth it. I am a huge BBC radio listener

FartingAgainstThunder · 28/02/2025 20:48

No I don't. Because I only watch programmes on the Amazon prime app or Disney plus.

Pancakeflipper · 28/02/2025 20:48

Oh... I think I got our monies worth during our CBeebied years.

GiddyCrab · 28/02/2025 20:49

I know several people who have never paid, one for nearly 20 years.

BuffaloCauliflower · 28/02/2025 20:49

Yes, but I also listen to BBC radio most days, kids watch CBeebies and I watch some other bits too, so I’m consuming more BBC than Netflix which I also pay for

LittleRedRidingHoody · 28/02/2025 20:50

I don't, but make sure I follow the rules about what I can/can't watch at home (and catch up on BBC stuff at a family members house from time to time!)

Justdancinginthedark · 28/02/2025 20:50

Yes

Fibrous · 28/02/2025 20:51

Of course! BBC is brilliant. Best radio, great sitcoms, amazing documentaries, and loads of archive stuff.

Lovelysummerdays · 28/02/2025 20:51

I do but I’m thinking of cancelling as the tv died and probably won’t replace and I struggle to find stuff to watch.

ThirdStorm · 28/02/2025 20:52

Yes! But I rarely watch live TV, last time was about a month ago. Although I want to be able to watch it if I want.

RosesAndHellebores · 28/02/2025 20:52

Since when did one need a TV licence to listen to the radio?

No, I don't pay for the TV licence. DH does.

RampantIvy · 28/02/2025 20:53

Yes, becasue I watch a lot of TV and I am a law abiding citizen.

JadeSeahorse · 28/02/2025 20:53

Yes but grudgingly as virtually the only thing I watch on the BBC is EastEnders and I never listen to the radio.

My disabled DD pays hers too and yet she only ever watches ITV, Channel 4 or watches videos.
She never, ever watches the BBC.

You don't. But it will be very silent if there's no money to make decent programmes.

SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter · 28/02/2025 20:55

I don't because I don't have a TV, and don't watch iplayer! They spam me CONSTANTLY with threatening letters! It makes me really angry.

TennisWithDeborah · 28/02/2025 20:55

Yes. For the radio, news, Strictly, the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special, Call the Midwife and various other dramas. Also some sports, especially the big athletics events with Colin Jackson, Michael Johnson etc. I feel that it is reasonable value for money, especially in an Olympics or football WC/Euros year.

user1491396110 · 28/02/2025 20:55

Nope, don't watch any live TV. We do have netflix for the occasional film but only use it maybe twice a month

Wavea · 28/02/2025 21:17

Nope, not anymore.

FuzzyPuffling · 28/02/2025 21:18

Yes.

Fourpintsoffullfatplease · 28/02/2025 21:18

No, I have YouTube premium instead. Don't watch live TV.
