Is your house “visitor ready”?

Right now?

Much is made of this on MN, so if there was a surprise knock on your door now, would you be happy with the state of your home to allow your visitors in?

@WhatTheFuckIsThisNow be careful what you wish for, you're opening yourself up for a MN invasion!
Honestly, start small - could you invite a neighbour round for a cuppa or something?
How old is DD? Could she invite a friend over?

@TappyGilmore good on you! Bathrooms and kitchen is always spotless here so anyone is welcome today 🙌

Ah an MN invasion sounds excellent, I'll get the kettle on 😂

DD is 27 so well past the age of inviting friends over (she has a couple of online friends and she socialises with work but she's like me and DH really, no 'real life' friends). The neighbours keep themselves to themselves and would think I'd gone stark raving bonkers if I invited them in for a cuppa! I've pretty much given up hope of making friends at this point, it is what it is. The no family bit is more difficult really but there's even less to be done for that sadly.

Not any more . Just me , it was always ready . Now with arrival of DD and her boyfriend and dog not so much . Constantly hoovering dirt on my pale kitchen tiles . Hard water means downstairs loo needs a lot of scrubbing which isn't always done .

Nope, im ashamed of the state it is in. Most of the time really.

Male here. There is beer in the fridge, ice in the freezer, whisky, gin, cognac etc in the cupboard, peanuts and crisps in the kitchen somewhere.. so it is as ready as it needs to be.

Depends how fussy the visitors are. If it's OK for us, it's OK for visitors.
