I agree op it's very worrying but I don't think the salute was a nazi salute at all.

Of course it was a Nazi salute. What about when Calvin Robinson did it? And when Steve Bannon did it, saying fight fight fight?

Charley50 · 23/02/2025 11:48

SerenityNowSerenityNow · 23/02/2025 11:46

He didn't do a Nazi salute FFS. This accusation came from people trying to smear him.

I mean, we all saw it 🤷🏼‍♀️

He put his arm in the air in jubilation, as people do.

Go on then, do it at work then, in a pub, or your local synagogue.

I don't get it, If he's on drugs why is Trump appointed him?
I thought Trump was very anti drugs ?

Trump says a lot of things.

claireismyname · 23/02/2025 11:52

Musk should be paid a handsome amount for assisting the US government cut the fat out of (with few exceptions) the unnacceptably workshy public sector.

SerendipityJane · 23/02/2025 11:53

The Police said it all in 1981:

Elon's joined the National Front
He always was a little runt
He's got his hand in the air with the other cunts
You gotta humanize yourself

Worries me to think this man is even in space ! Even the universe cannot escape from him 😆

The fact large chunks of his rocket keep hurtling down to earth (Poland got some and another caught on a doorbell camera last week) shows he literally doesn't think ahead or care about effects.

Simonjt · 23/02/2025 11:54

When people are anti things they usually don’t mind their friends doing it when its people like Trump. Look at Trump, he proudly sexually assaults women and brags about it, he likely wouldn’t mind his cronies sexually assaulting people, he even said he’d have sex with his daughter if they weren’t related. But if someone outside of his circle raped someone, he’d then have a problem with that particular rape.

After an admittedly sad stalk, our supporter on here appears to be a regular on any thread where any aspect of nazism is discussed, so likely a longterm nazi apologist.

Charley50 · 23/02/2025 11:55

@Simonjt and others, this is cut and pasted from a post by Hillel Fuld on X, 'proud Zionist/Jew...' (He posted at least 10 points but I can't copy them all and at about to go out..)

"If all the people posting about Elon Musk‘s fake Nazi salute focused on the real Nazis of our day and stood up for Israel, it would really move the needle in the propaganda war against Israel.

So let’s examine his words and actions instead of obsessing over some very awkward hand gesture (Which he should not have made.) which he’s said countless times was NOT a Nazi salute.

  1. Visited Auschwitz-Birkenau: In January 2024, Musk toured the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in Poland, joining a memorial ceremony and later speaking at a conference on antisemitism, reflecting on the Holocaust's impact.
  1. Traveled to Israel: In November 2023, Musk visited Israel, touring a kibbutz attacked by Hamas with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and meeting with President Isaac Herzog and hostage families, showing solidarity amid conflict.
  1. Wore a "Bring Them Home" Dog Tag: During his Israel visit, Musk received a dog tag from a hostage’s father, which he wore publicly, including at a New York Times summit, symbolizing support for Israeli hostages."
SerenityNowSerenityNow · 23/02/2025 11:56

Haha easy mistake to make I guess... I'm sure we've all find a nazi salute when celebrating 🤷🏼‍♀️
Oh wait, no. Most people aren't that stupid.

Anyone can copy and paste some crap from a sad vlogger, it doesn’t excuse or change the fact that he did two nazi salutes.

Charley50 · 23/02/2025 11:58

Whatever your opinions on Musk, he really didn't do a Nazi salute.

ColourlessGreenIdeasSleepFuriously · 23/02/2025 12:01

Some other people raising their arm straight at a 45° angle palm down in jubilation:

redsunsets · 23/02/2025 12:01

We could do with a bit of that in our own public sector!

SerenityNowSerenityNow · 23/02/2025 12:01

There, fixed it for you.

More 'Nazi' salutes!

Fucking musk
ColourlessGreenIdeasSleepFuriously · 23/02/2025 12:05

Historians of Nazism agree it was a Nazi salute. I'll take their opinion over some randon blogger.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 23/02/2025 12:05

@Simonjt & @Charley50 I wholeheartedly agree that it was a salute. This is backed up by his vocal and financial support of far right causes like the AfD in Germany and 'free Tommy R' campaign. He may have paid lip-service to Jewish groups but he puts money and actively promotes far-right content and ideology on his social media platform.

All of those linked look like a nazi salute to me.
And even if it wasn't, why would you pick a gesture so incredibly similar to that one? I mean come on

More 'Nazi' salutes!

Pathetic. Now post the accompanying sound and video. Are any of them spouting Fascist rhetoric and using Fascist dogwhistles in their speech or Fascist iconography on their social media?

UnderHisEeyore · 23/02/2025 12:07

I don't think people would deny that the current Israeli Gov is far right, would they? He cosies up to all of them.

More 'Nazi' salutes!

We've all seen those stills before thanks. Those are stills. The video versions show that the whole gesture was not a salute, as you well know.

We know what we saw at the inauguration and more recently with Steve Bannon. You can't rewrite history, no matter how hard you try.
