I got told yesterday by the girl doing my nails that I had lovely long nail beds. I'm not even sure what a nail bed is but I'll take it.

When I was a teenager in the 90s a body piercer told me I had one of the nicest navels he’d ever seen.

Ihatethebloodywinter · 21/02/2025 16:40

A Doctor once told me i have very small ear canals, he said it with wonderment in his voice

Disneyvillain · 21/02/2025 16:43

One of my nieces told me she and her cousins had discussed it and decided I had the prettiest feet of all the aunties. I didn’t like to tell her there’s almost a whole size difference between them …

I was told by an A&E doctor that I had largest Uvula and highest blood score for inflammation markers she had ever seen her entire career including rotation as an ENT doctor. This was when I was hospitalised with killer tonsillitis 10 years ago. I was told I was brave for not crying as " I can't believe how much pain you must be in".

Justleaveitblankthen · 21/02/2025 16:45

Oh yes, I always get 'complimented' on my veins when having blood taken. 😂

WhatsTheMatterDavid · 21/02/2025 10:57

I got told I had lovely ovaries on an ultrasound for a missing coil.

I got told I've lovely ovaries as well, during a pre-IVF scan. I thought typical, one thing I can't show off is apparently lovely

The other way around but I once told a colleague she had a very nice hairline at the back of her neck. She did have a very nice hairline. She said her hairdresser had complimented it too 😂

Cocolapew · 21/02/2025 16:52

A gynaecologist once told me, in awe, I had the thickest womb he'd ever seen.
I was very smug for the rest of the day.
Tbh I'm not sure it was meant as a compliment but I'll take whatever I can.
Also a good vein owner.

DustyMaiden · 21/02/2025 16:55

A customer said god has given you everything a man could want in the looks department. It’s a shame you don’t know how to present it.

Picklewicklepickle · 21/02/2025 16:57

I have long nails beds too which I didn’t know till a nail tech mentioned it, I hated them when I was a teenager as I could never grow long white bits like my best friend. I’m happy now as I like having them short.

I also have massive elbow crook veins so good for giving blood/ blood tests.

My 4 yo says I’m the best mum in the world because I make her dinner 😂 Good to know I can manage the bare minimum of parenting. Also she’s a massive fussy eater and never eats it anyway!

ZookeeperSE · 21/02/2025 16:58

"For a dark haired girl you don't have much of a moustache do you?"
Er, thaaaanks?

Whatwouldnanado · 21/02/2025 16:59

That I look like Felicity Kendal. From the back.

FKAT · 21/02/2025 16:59

DS16 and I were watching Motherland the other day and I asked what mum I was most like and he said Meg.

That's like winning the compliment lottery as far as I'm concerned.

Run4it2 · 21/02/2025 17:03

My daughter told me I looked really well hydrated (she's a student nurse, she intended it as a compliment - I was like wtf?)

Member869894 · 21/02/2025 17:13

I was told I had a lovely cervix during a smear test 😂

WonderingWanda · 21/02/2025 17:17

Someone once told me I had "great childbearing hips" I can confirm after the 50 hpirs labouring and forceps delivery of my first dc that they were not so great at the childbearing after all.

ScottChegg · 21/02/2025 17:23

My late MIL once told me I hang out laundry properly. What she meant was I did it her way, not the wrong way! Since she once told me I was pouring coke wrong, I took it. 🙄

Howyoualldoworkme · 21/02/2025 17:25

I was having my smear test and the nurse commented on my 'dainty feet' 😂

SexAndCakes · 21/02/2025 17:25

Daleksatemyshed · 21/02/2025 09:34

I've been told three times that I have nice veins in my arms when I've had blood tests.

I always get this. It means it's easy to find them!

I have also had "that's a lovely looking cervix" during more than one smear test.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/02/2025 17:26

My obstetrician told me I have an impressive cervix. I’m proud.

wonderingwhatlifemeans · 21/02/2025 17:26

I was once given a card which said in big letters on the front'To the second best teacher'. Inside it said'If you work hard you can be as good as Mrs S' who was the child's teacher the previous year!

I kept that card for a long time!

ShinySquirrel · 21/02/2025 17:29

From an optician: 'Wonderful! You have lovely strong maculas!' and then she clapped me across the shoulders and walked out of the room.

I looked it up and it's part of the retina. I still don't understand how it could be strong.

RisingSunn · 21/02/2025 17:31

My dentist said that I had the strongest set of teeth he had seen in a long while.

Howyoualldoworkme · 21/02/2025 17:35

ELCismyspiritnana · 21/02/2025 16:12

Not to blow my own trumpet but I also have a long vagina (now tell them in advance of smear/coil related tests to get the long speculum!) AND have been told many times that I really suit a hat -ant type of hat (I rarely wear hats!)
Also been told I have a very sexy voice over the phone. Sadly Internet porn killed my potential sex line career.

I'm also told that I've got a face for hats 😁

And when my ex husband and I went to Relate the counsellor said I was 'the neatest crier she'd ever seen' 🙄

bigkahunaburger · 21/02/2025 17:42

I got told I 'wore my weight well'.

When late teens/early twenties told I looked a lot more innocent than I was.

scotstarstrikestwo · 21/02/2025 17:45

My mum told me the other day that when we last videocalled she thought it looked like I had '1 less chin'. She has no filter whatsoever
