Help me with my living room again 😩

Sorry it's me again. So after thinking about doing something with my sofa that's gone out of the window.

But I do want to completely change the living living room. So basically change the walls and the floors, curtains.

My no 's are no dark walls. It has to be light although I will consider a medium sort of colour. Do I just paint or do wallpaper as well? Or maybe some sort of panelling

Floor wise I want to rip the floor up and put something better down. I'm open to the colour and type. I'm also now happy to put a rug down but short pile type.

I'm very against cushions and floor lamp/low light type. As I don't like a room that's dimmed . I like it bright light wise.

I have taken a few pics of the living room so there's a better idea.

I'm hoping to make a start this week.

I have not done much to be honest. I need to get some new fitting for the unit to fit into the stud wall. And drill bits I kept forgetting to do it . This weekend I have my kids home and grandkids so not sure what time I will get really

I guess it's not going to run away. It would be nice to get it finished though.

Wow it’s looking great! I wouldn’t get the purple curtains. They’d dominate too much.

How about multicoloured curtains that have similar colours to the painted wood?

Don’t get frustrated. These things take time. Enjoy browsing for the final touches.

Is the wall behind the window white? I think if it is then they won’t be “too much”.
go with what you love!

If you love the voiles, get them. You know what you like, most of the time you get it right, it looks good and you like it, sofa and repaint notwithstanding 😂

Personally, I think plain colours, whether it’s one colour or a rainbow of different voile curtains might feel too much as they are a “block”. I think multicoloured curtains with a bold pattern (nothing too delicate) would be better. Lots of the colours you love but no big blocks of colour.

I definitely don't want pattern curtains. See i like it with nothing at all . Because I like looking throw the window at nothing abd I ferk like it let's light in. I knlw voils do to . But I mean all light without even a slight shade . But it also looks very unfinished with nothing at all . Just looks like I coukd be arsed to buy curtains.

I just had a brain wave . You know net curtains sit almost again the window . I'm wondering if I can do that with plain white voils. And then on the part where the heavy curtains would normally be I could put a few colours voils on each side

How about voiles on a curtain rail that you never draw across so you still have something framing the window ie just like normal curtains except voile?

That's an idea . Don't know why I didn't think of that after complicating it all 😅 thank you
