The OP has already clarified that she mistook Mumsnet for a forum version of Tiktok where its the norm to share videos of mundane life activities titled watch me do X.

Perhaps the dental treatment was overseas and the random amount is the sterling equivalent?

How bad does it need to be that you brag on the internet. Or pretend brag.
if you’re that bored find a hobby. Or is this it?

Edited

Surely with all that money she can afford get some decent hobbies.

Can you lend us a fiver?

Talk away, enjoy your holidays and your shopping. I like both. But For God's Sake show some humility and compassion.

Personally I’ve enjoyed reading. Don’t have this income level but enjoyed being nosey.
you earn your own money so spends you want.
my only concern is that your husbands saves etc great but if you split up what then ? I’d suggest you do save an emergency fund. It’s never nice going from having money and luxuries to nothing.
cost of living seen us shopping in Waitrose now and then to buying everything in Lidl and going from luxury gym to local council. Not the end of world but I do miss choice of fitness classes.

Not sure why you posted this. Are you asking on advice how to spend less?
You are getting through a lot of money on frivolous things and that’s your money to do what you want with, you earned it, but I would think about saving some.
You never know when your circumstances might change and it gives you a bit of security just in case.

Waitingfordoggo · 15/02/2025 11:36

£1300 on 'beauty'? Jesus. I thought £140 on my hair twice a year was steep 😂

She's never once asked for advice on spending less. She's just bragging.

There is another thread on here I have been reading.
A single mum taking her young daughter to the seaside for 5 days in half term.
She is on a pretty tight budget, has booked a caravan, and she has planned ahead, taking food and extras they may need.
The thread (apart from the expected few snide posts) is warm and happy...I have found this one cold and empty.

How the other half live? ... there is far more to life than monetary goods.

So neither of you save anything?

and you live in rented accommodation?

Harry and Meghan live in rented accommodation. What's the problem.

Depends whether OP has an endless source of wealth but if she/ husband are dependent on high salaries and in the future are unable to work due to redundancy, ill health or old age they will be kicking themselves for spunking their money on shite and not buying a property.

Do they? How do you know this? I thought the Montecito mansion was theirs?

What a lovely privileged life you have.
I hope you're happy.
