I'm picturing an Amandaland type character......

Stealth boast.
No one likes bragging tbh. Oh, and MN isn't TikTok. "Watch me..." What nonsense.

@Spottyshirt boasting that they can spend that much. Like TikTok crap.

I didn't say it was impressive.

Danikm151 · 13/02/2025 09:14

So in other words you earn more in one month than some make in 6 months so can spend on whatever you want.

lucky you- i just used a £2.50 voucher to get a Tesco meal deal for £1.10- that’s my weekly treat.

Linens · 13/02/2025 09:15

I like it that you own the fact you’re privileged and earn a ton 💅 good for you.
Posting expenditure is slightly cringe but it gives people something to froth about I suppose.

YouHaveAWomansHand · 13/02/2025 09:16

Watch me not give a toss about a stranger's finances!

The comments on the renting... the UK is not our home. We are not citizens here and are planning at some point to move abroad again.

How much botox did you get?! 😀

TokyoSushi · 13/02/2025 09:17

Not even a stealth boast 😄

I spend £25 per month on my nails and view that as quite decadent!

Barrenfieldoffucks · 13/02/2025 09:17

What an utterly bizarre and pointless thread! 😂

£4550 on kids, you shouldn't bring them into the world if you can't afford to look after them properly. You need to look at your priorities and if struggling to make ends meet, don't neglect the kids.

But you’re still renting op
and you’re not saving

sounds a bit precarious to me

user263758918 · 13/02/2025 09:18

Yes, I'm not saving. Doesn't mean DH isn't.

DH does weekly "big shop

This is a wind up, how much you spending on food.

Kurokurosuke · 13/02/2025 09:18

So a standard month really. Looks pretty similar to mine. Just a different currency.

Fetchthevet · 13/02/2025 09:18

What's your job OP?

hattie43 · 13/02/2025 09:19

Why are you renting on that kind of money . Your own home should be a top priority.

Boring brag 🥱😴

WifeImprovementWorksInProgress · 13/02/2025 09:20

Any chance of a photo of your face? I'm curious what that kind of money spent on beauty would get me...? 😄

ByPearlSnail · 13/02/2025 09:20

I’m guessing you don’t have any money left for self awareness in that budget

wipeywipe · 13/02/2025 09:20

Yes, I'm not saving. Doesn't mean DH isn't.

And this is where you reveal DH earns 50k a month & saves 30k into different investment pots 🥱

CeeJay81 · 13/02/2025 09:21

A typical mumsnetter who earns over 100k! Would I heck be renting on that money. I'd say goodbye to botox and get a mortgage.

Bjorkdidit · 13/02/2025 09:21

LoafofSellotape · 13/02/2025 09:04

£181 on coffees?!

I thought that until I saw the rest. The coffee is nothing compared with everything else.

I know it's tough for renters and the OP is far from typical, but in a lot of cases it's not as hard as people make out to qualify for a mortgage or save for a deposit, especially outside the SE.

Obviously prices won't go back to what they were 20 years ago, but it seems that, for many, they're not prepared for their lifestyle to look like it was then either.
