I honestly think he sees Gaza as a bit of potential prime real estate, where a few Trump hotels would fit nicely and turn him a pretty penny. I don’t believe for a second he gives one single fuck about the people living there.

@user22446688 I think part of his 'wickedness' is that he doesn't care about consequences (except enriching him / inner circle). I don't know enough about the area (although I have been interested since I studied this at O level in 1986)
But I do know that the notion of 'clearing' a historically contested area that has just seen enormous suffering is a difficult one. It should be done with care, with all parties involved having a stake (including neighbouring countries). 'Idealistic', & I know the idea of a mythical '2 state solution' is unrealistic (it would not make everyone happy by any means) But, the idea that it could be (even partially) to site real estate (as yet not proven of course) is horrible (& all too believable).

I had a convo with my Autistic 20 y/o son yesterday. He has Cyber qualifications & is very interested, & quite knowledgable, re what Musk is doing. He also has a strong sense of right & wrong. My position in general is that 'othering' of others is divisive & unhelpful, but it was hard not to broadly agree that what Trump & Musk are doing is pretty awful. I woke to the news re Gaza & I think it's wicked.

I think you are absolutely right and that has been mooted elsewhere.

He is a wicked man, look how he treated his brother, his ill nephew, everyone who has worked for him, the small guys, his ex wife Ivana... the list is endless. He is obviously some sort of sociopath, psychopath, a narc etc. (I know I'm throwing these terms out, I don't know enough to say which one, maybe all of them!)

The way he talked about Gaza was just so so shocking. He deals with this sort of delicate situation as if he was in business. Ride roughshod over the small guys, do what I want, to hell with the consequences. Make money on it somewhere, boost my ego

The Saudis have said they won’t consider normalisation with Israel without a commitment to a 2 state solution. To my mind Trump has his eyes on the wider Middle East “peace” deal so might bend to Saudi to achieve that.

He signed his executive order yesterday to continue a campaign of maximum pressure on Iran (sanctions). They have limited capacity to respond really other than to possibly push for a nuclear weapon and who knows how Trump would react to that.

I'd assume for the right price he'd happily send them the relevant mar-a-lago classified bathroom documents. Don't make the mistake of assuming there's statesmanship happening here.

I suspect that's because China didn't have anything up their sleeve that they've already promised and could re-purpose 😅like the other countries.
