Do you like footspa? Have a crush on Alan Titchmarsh?

I'm 47 and I like to get Kriss Kross puzzle books when I go on holiday, I think their main market is the over 70s. I also like Fenjal bubble bath which I'm sure is rather an old lady thing.

Old ladies also welcome to add their old lady habits too! 😁

39 and recently got into Sudoku.

I also like getting into bed at half 8, asleep by 10. LOVE an early night.

I always make sure I switch my electric blanket on at about 7pm so that when I go up to bed at around 10pm my bed is warm, welcoming and cosy. Nice clean pyjamas, wax melt burning in my electric burner so my room smells heavenly, fresh bedding and a good book, heaven on earth

WhiteRosesAndCandles · 16/01/2025 21:05

Nothing wrong with comfortable.

I've grown fond of lavender fragranced things, particularly L'Occitane.

A night out should start a 2pm so I can be home on PJs by 9pm.

BruFord · 16/01/2025 21:05

50 and I'm currently sitting on the sofa wearing a vest (albeit more of a plain cotton top with spaghetti straps), a cardigan and I've got a hot water bottle on my lap. Cup of tea beside me.

My excuse for being such an old dear is that we have frozen snow on the ground here (in the US) and it's been below freezing all day. Literally everyone is wearing a woolly hat today!

randonneuse · 16/01/2025 21:05

Vests are the best.

Hell yeah! Love my electric blanket too!

Giant pants
Cotton nightwear

Hand and foot warmers
Knitting
Alarmingly large and growing collection of wool and knitting accessories
Ornaments
Lots of blankets
Hot water bottles
Hot drinks
I watch the news every night
I'm always cold
Huge and enduring crush on Simon Williams since I was a teenager
eta: just remembered I can no longer wear high heels after a "fall"

I'm 34Grin

Monicaaa · 16/01/2025 21:07

@Frostine

Have you had your eyes tested? Worth it if you haven't

BruFord · 16/01/2025 21:08

Is champagne an old lady drink now? I'll only stretch to cava prosecco anyway, but I do like a glass of bubbly.

Snowmanscarf · 16/01/2025 21:08

What did Leanne say then?

oops Traitor comment.

LaPalmaLlama · 16/01/2025 21:08

I find this thread endearing! Us oldies do make some good choices! I'm 63, not really old in my mind, but realize I'm no longer considered middle-aged.

ZiggyZowie · 16/01/2025 21:13

SpiritOfEcstasy · 16/01/2025 21:16

My vintage caravan, my new kitten (finally home enough to have one 💕), I booked a transatlantic sailing home from New York later this year 😂 I don’t like long haul flights anymore but I’m told the average passenger age is 70! Swimming breast stroke with a really thick rubber swimming hat and ear plugs. My lovely sister today told me that my age shocks her as I’m still so ‘fresh faced’ 😂

Lorrymum · 16/01/2025 21:17

Love this thread!
Making sure I go for a quick wee before I leave home!

Horses7 · 16/01/2025 21:18

If anything comes in a nice box or tin I save it when it’s empty 🤣 so I’ve got loads of really nice still empty tins and boxes.

orangetriangle · 16/01/2025 21:18
